got two offers to come back with one at 60% discount & the other with 70% discount declined as bloated repeat crap that i wont miss for sure

Without sports (premier league) Sky would go bust. The rest of their content,as said before, is repeated for 6 months before anything new is added.

If your in Ireland with the basic and sports its €79.00 a Month with NO HD and no Multiroom and no broadband. Thats all extra

I just checked if you want basic with HD , Multiroom and sports its €121.00. ( thats with no broadband )

€89.50 then €121

Changed to 33% off now. So £55 pm for the complete bundle

tbh gone the nowtv route at the moment and kodi on pc for films and tv

just a quick update for you guys, Sky is still running the deal but its now 33% off rather than half price, making it £55 for the complete bundle for the TV, This is exactly the same price as Virgin if you already have internet with VM.

I have just taken the plunge into Virgin again as it's better quality and I prefer their boxes :P

Still using my VU+ for Euro sats though, DISEQC is on the list next!

Chances are this will be IPTV mate, The new encryption is just like Sly Italia, Paired to the box for HD and using NDS certified hardware and software to further encrypt the stream. (Possibly ICAM encryption + NDS Videoguard, not confirmed but looks that way)

Unless the sat manufacturers pay NDS to include their hardware standards in their own boxes, it's not going to happen overnight. And before anyone flames me, NDS will probably never come to Marketable Sat boxes.

IPTV is going to make huge leaps and bounds in the next few months/years, especially with Sly looking to stream all content to the q box rather than use satellite, it won't be long before thats cracked.

From what I have seen and heard it looks like most UK IPTV and CS is powered by Virgin for the most part, It won't be long before hdcp and a new Nagra key is introduced to combat it, and lockdowns of the IPTV streams such as Sly GO and Virgin TV anywhere.
