There are only 5 FTA channels on Cable. You would be better off connecting to an aerial and using Freeview.
Please understand tuner and tuner module/card are two different things. If you do not understand this, re-read it and ask someone to re-explain.
You will need two tuners. ( i did not say cards!)
You can have one tuner card/module with two tuners (only has one connection, it has a built in splitter)
You can use two tuner cards that have single tuners.
The Duo2 only has space for two cards/modules. So a sat card and twin hybrid card would be best option for you.
Hybrid means that it can be either Cable or Terrestrial.

Please rephrase. Better still, show a picture of the cable.

u get a fly lead with the duo2 with satellite conectors on both ends is the for recording

If you had two tuner cards, you would use it for looping the tuners.
They are not satellite connectors, they are F-plugs.
-
so I can use it for cable then fta
-
so I could have single cable tuner then twin satlite tuners and use it for recording ie the f plug conectors

It is just a wire. for connecting two ends together. You cannot loop a cable tuner into a satellite tuner.
I don't know what you have. Nor what you want to record from. So cant answer your question properly.
What do you have?
What do you want to achieve?

I have a single cable tuner and a twin satellite tuner so if I connect the cable to the satellite tuner I will be able to record fta cable while watching a difrent chanel

No, you cannot do that. A satellite tuner cannot receive cable signal. It was already mentioned that you cannot loop cable/satellite tuners together.
You are better off selling your single hybrid card and installing a twin hybrid card. Swap, not add.
There are essentially only 5 FTA channels on cable, there are lots more on satellite. Watch/record the FTA channels on satellite.

Box came fitted with dual Sat and Terrestrial, I bought a twin cable tuner, only requires one input from cable, but u need to remove the T Tuner... the VU sees 2 C Tuners & 2 S Tuners... works a treat..
