  • A mystery! Why is there this log on e2m3u2b log? It's a compilation part log!

Anything mystical. This error occurs in case you don't have access to the US Library of Congress (loc.gov) website. This is not a critical error. We get ISO639 3-digit language codes from their website. This is required for DreamOS epg.db. If the site is not available, then by default "ENG" used.

  • Hello,

With 1.0.58 version, history duration (extract from settings) doesn't work anymore. Are just available events in the xml file, not previous.

    So back to 1.0.57.

  • With 1.0.58 version, history duration (extract from settings) doesn't work anymore.

I could believe you, but .... that part when which is responsible for "bypassing" xmltv - DID NOT CHANGE at all .... What you can see by looking at the xmltvconverter.py file at the very end

p.s. Just in case, I attach pictures where the arrows indicate events from the past in the list of events by channel according to the "depth" settings to display events from the past in my image...

  • Ok thanks. Back to 1.0.57 does not change anything, same problem. Perhaps a problem with the last commits from oatv 7.0 rc1.. I have to investigate and will reinstall 1.0.58 version.

EDIT: pepsik , compiled a new oatv 7.0 rc1 build. install 1.0.58. Everything is fine now, the history is there. Still the bug of "lost before midnight events" history, but this is an EPGImport Bug

  • for userbouquet.tv

Instead of m3u? More precisely from ***.userbouquets.tv ?

Nothing is impossible. Only here the need for such functionality is not clear. The probability of finding m3u-playlist in free access is 1000 times higher than finding ready-made userbouquets.tv ...

    Agree

scenario - have 5. bouquet and only one need update EPG - than must updated all of them becouse if in option "" Providers- Enables(NO - No2, No3..) will deleted tham ...do we really want downlodig everting again and again ?

This scenario is not supported. Users with more than one IPTV provider (playlist) - 0.5%

In my opinion user will have more than one m3u file. Could you "play with code" be more frendly less work for "processor"?

    just ideaa -

1 - make one step to created new "setup" in confing.xml for m3u+ epg links ( now is really to complicated - many steaps need it)

2 - when would you add new/more links in config.xml, keeping current bouquet untached (now they are get deleted )

3 - bellieve more user have m3u files dawnloded. - so instead "copy-paste" links into config.xml - more fast could be like in plugin setup choose "picons storage path" ( of course still have option to copy links manually)

OK. many satellites providers sending from "orbit" EPG with less or some channels are without any EPG. Why not use EPG for "m3u links" ? They are 100-times better with many information. i know you made mod for EPG Import plugin, but need files with "channels EPG refrency" this pluging e2m3ubouquet can parse EPG just with channels name so it is great.

Also is higly possible when download from somebody prepared "channels userbouquet.tv have iptv channels list in bouquet as well.

hope you know what i meaning

  • Hello,

I don't understand where are the history events stored. When I run a manually e2m3u2b update, I lost all history for the channels exept the one in corresponding current xml.

Exemple for Pluto TV FR Providers. I think removing existing bouquets remove existing channels in the bouquet, so epg is purged.

removing existing bouquets remove existing channels in the bouquet, so epg is purged.

Need to check but unlikely. Based on your log, EPG is loaded for all IPTV providers from the list

    Code
    [08.02 10:31:37] [e2m3u2b] EPG import started for: ['Pluto-fr XMLTV', 'Samsung-fr XMLTV', 'Samsung-all XMLTV', 'Plex-all XMLTV', 'Stirr-us XMLTV', 'BumbleBee XMLTV', 'Pluto-br XMLTV', 'Pluto-de XMLTV', 'Pluto-es XMLTV', 'Pluto-gb XMLTV', 'Pluto-mx XMLTV', 'Pluto-us XMLTV']

The record processing algorithm is the SAME for any source from the list. If the "depth" of event storage is enabled in the settings, then it is applied to all processed sources. Therefore, if deleting bouquets results in "cleaning" the EPG (which is unlikely), then importing events from EPG will again restore all events from XMLTV according to the image settings

I think removing existing bouquets remove existing channels in the bouquet, so epg is purged.

If it was so, then by disabling "EPG import after creating bouquets", you would NOT have EPG on any of the channels after creating bouquets provided that before you started creating bouquets , EPG - it was

Great idea to do this test! and the EPG is still there!

So, an idea, when I install a new OATV version, restore datas, epg.dat included, reinstall e2m3u2 (automatically installed at the end of the restore process). This will disturb the process? and forgot the past of this channels...

I'm making too many image updates I think, but currently oatv is commiting good changes.

EDIT: if i run manualy e2m3u2b, the history is deleted. I think not when it's an auto interval update..

  • the EPG is still there!

For any number of "generations" of bouquets, either in manual or in automatic mode, the EPG history, according to the specified image settings, never disappears anywhere... I tested on OpenPli (7.3/8.1), OpenBH (4.4/5.0), OpenATV (6.4/7.0) any DreamOs images ...

Why you have something disappearing - I do not understand. I cannot repeat this. Most likely, this is the specificity of the specific image used for a specific receiver ... Or some specific actions with epg.dat that I don't understand

  • restore datas, epg.dat included,

For what purpose ??? Who prevents checking up on pure epg.dat?

    init 4

    remove epg.dat

    init 3

I'm talking about the automatic image upgrade from software management available in the oatv image. Everything is automatic, so it's really easy to upgrade to full clean image with no manipulation.

  • image upgrade from software management available in the oatv image.

My main image is OpenBH 5.0 and I update it regularly via opkg update && opkg upgrade .. No problems with saving EPG history, according to the given settings - no

if i run manualy e2m3u2b, the history is deleted. I think not when it's an auto interval update..

There are no different update algorithms. This is the same part of the code (function) that is called either from a menu item or by a timer

My main image is OpenBH 7.0 and I update it regularly via opkg update && opkg upgrade .. No problems with saving EPG history, according to the given settings - no

2 solutions exists, opkg update && opkg upgrade, or full image installation with datas restoration. The epg.dat is proper restored, there's no problem with satellite events (history, curent and future), but for e2m3u2b providers the events are there but an e2m3u2b update delete all past events. The history will be kept until next image upgrade.
