All the recent TMs are boring. In the sense that they just work.

If it meets your requirements it will be fine. Otherwise for £30 extra you get twin tuner receivers that take HDDs

So what's this "twin tuner" thing? Record one channel whilst watching another?

Simple answer: yes.

Detailed answer:

With a single tuner receiver, you can record one and others if on the same transponder.

With a twin tuner receiver, you can access channels on two different transponders provided both tuners have signal wires from the LNB.
