  • Maybe it is a stupid question but in order to install OSCAM file the extension at the end should be .ipk, right ? but in download OSCAM section all file are with the tar.gz extension and when I d/l that file I get tar extension. I'm working on Mac (High Sierra) and my Mac automatically open that file. Do I have to add ipk after tar ? In d/l section which is closed all files was with ipk. Any help or clarification will be appreciated.

  • If you want to proceed with the automatic installation, the file must have the extension .ipk.

you can not add the .ipk extension to the tar file or rename it

but you can also install it manually with 2 modes:

    1. Once you have extracted the files on your MAC, send them to the decoder with an FTP client and place them in the respective folders and set the following rights on the files:
      • 755 for the executable (oscam) and for the batch that starts the emu
      • 644 for all other files.
    2. unpack the .tar file from the decoder after sending it with an FTP client.
