  • i thought this was a oscam problem but i have now reinstalled debian following the Sticky: Automated CCcam 2.3.0 debian and cccam still crashes the system is still there and still connected to the internet vieving the /emu/log/debug its just stopped dead
in the moorning i get up and check the log and i see lots of allready connected errors from my peers and card reader errors cannot view cccam info webpage ,reboot the server and it goes ok for about half a day
i also seem to be able to freeze up cccam info if i view the servers tab and keep refreshing it then cccam stops after about half a hour
    things ive tried
    logging everything
    new card reader
    disconnecting the card reader
checking that i dont have cccam running twice
    minimum cccam cfg
    reinstalling lots of times
    new router
disabling everything in bios Bluetooth ect

i would like to know if there is any other things i can do
how can i tell if cccam has stopped ?

    i need some ideas please

  • it just stopped again no errors in the log after i rebooted i get this in the log

are any of these anything to worry about

  • The logs still say your server has started, so I can't see them messages causing the crash - Hard to pinpont what is causing it, but I am wondering if you have a busy server then tidying up the server, such as editing your shares so you are only receiving cards that you need, reducing the amount of hops you receive (if you have a lot of peers you might not need their HOP2's for example) and getting rid of peers that give you high usage where you get not much in return, can help as everything has a limit.

If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • i tried changing cccam ive had a good look at my shares and stopped sharing with a few "sorry" that still made no difference so i pulled out my ubuntu pc that i was using before i started with debian and cccam has been stable
could the pc i was using just have been incomparable with linux it seemed ok when i first installed it
but the system its self seemed stable but then again i couldnt get oscam stable and blamed it on oscam
ive lost a few good peers with this i sopose the lesson is that new hardware isnt always better

  • think what I am learning is to evolve rather than jump - I am not sure why you had an issue with debian though - i am finding it so much better than ubuntu because it is much slimmer. When everything is working then it is good to remain the same and just tweak a little at a time:smile:

  • old post i know but will become more popular problem the more people change to oscam and set up incorrectly
run cccam from telnet or putty with -dn
this will show that one or more peers has set up oscam incorrectly
cccam crash due to large amount cards being constantly removed by incorrect oscam peer settings
i had the same problem after changing to new server new static ip etc 3 weeks of trying everything it turned out to be this
my debug showed the same no problems!
