  • Hi guys!

    Wow, this is a jungle and I need your help choosing and setting up a softcam for my Vu+ Duo. My card is a payed for Canal Digital Nordic. I dont cardshare and don't want anyone else to be able to use my card via some kind of backdoor. All i want is to be able to use my Duo to watch TV using the CD card i am paying for.

    I have just updated from BH 1.6.5 (where i used Cccam 2.2.1) to BH 1.7.3. I tried to install Cccam 2.2.1 but nothing got installed. I don't know what happened but it got me looking for another cam. I have read something about backdoors in CCcam 2.3.0, and i don't want that!

    Which softcam should i use that is stable, works without problems and is not too difficult to setup (I am a programmer, but i know almost nothing about Linux)?

    Oscam maybe, or some other?

    Please tell me where to find the correct install file to download and how to set it up so it works.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Michel,, registered since oct 2011 but only first post now .. ;>0...
    ok just above are the softcam packs for BH,vix,etc,, there is one already prepared oscam + Cccam HERE
    JUST choose the right one for your card...
    an intro would ´ve been nice too!!

  • Hi MasterG and cazuela!

    Thanks to both of you for your quick reply!

    The reason i haven't posted anything until now is that i didn't have to. I got everything working almost immediately when i bought the Duo in oct last year, just some minor problems i could easily find answers to. Didn't dare touch the darned thing after that. But now it is time to upgrade, if i can get it to work, that is.

    I have a few more questions for you:

    Can't i use just oscam? Why do i also need either Cccam 2.1.3 or mgcamd?

    Is Cccam 2.1.3 safe (no backdoors and such crap) and will it really install on BH 1.7.3? (I did have problems installing Cccam 2.2.1, remember?)

    Following the link you provided cazuela, i found the closest match to be the same as the first link provided by MasterG. But that seems to be for Dutch Canal Digital, will that really work for Nordic CD?
    If those settings are actually OK for me, which one of the 4 downloadable files should i use?

    If i instead go for the oscam+mgcamd alternative, the link you provided MasterG is to the settings. But where do i find the actual install files for the cams?

  • Have you got Ts Panel installed on your box?

    If not here is the link for it:http://linuxsat-support.com/en…ddons-server-updates.html

    There is a post here that has the ipk file attached for TS Panel.

    Once installed use the Linuxsat Support server on there to install cams etc,it's all there, oscam+cccam/cccam/ oscam ready made configs etc etc. This makes it very easy to install whichever one you choose as it intstalls it straight onto your box for you,no need to worry about where to install certain files.

    You can use oscam alone, i gave you the option of CCcam because you have used it before and mgcamd is a fast client EMU.

    Use this file if you want to use oscam alone, Oscam6059-CanaalDigital_Nordic-E2_Images IPK.rar

    Its definately for Nordic package, i have renamed the files to save anymore confusion.

    BlackHole Softcam Collection, or on TSPanel.

  • What i have done is this:
    1. Installed TSPanel 4.9.
    2. Using TSPanel i installed package Addons>linuxsat_support_Addons>Cams-BH Other>oscam v6611+Mgcamd v138-BH
    3. On Black Hole blue panel i selected oscam 6611-mgcamd 1.38 and pressed OK to make these cams the default.
    4. Restarted box.
    5. In TSPanel process list there are 7 oscam processes and 4 mgcamd processes (strange thing is that these do not show up in BH blue-yellow-blue process list. Bug ?????).
    6. From the link provided by Master G above i downloaded "Mgcamd & Oscam config for Canal Digital conax.rar" and transfered the files to the box with filezilla.
    7. Transfered bouquetes to the box using dreamboxedit.
    8. Restarted the box.

    The problem now is that i get no picture or sound.

    The names of the current and next program is shown as expected in status bar.

    Provider info and station info seems OK to me.

    It seems my card is not decoded at all. Any ideas?

  • Cant open webif in browser.

    My box has IP 10.0.0.6.

    The file oscam.conf contains this:
    [webif]
    httpport = 8080
    httpuser = oscam
    httppwd = oscam
    httprefresh = 10
    httpallowed = 10.0.0.6,127.0.0.1,192.168.0.1-192.168.255.255
    httphideidleclients = 0
    httpreadonly = 0
    httpsavefullcfg = 0

    So the URL i am trying to open is: http://10.0.0.6:8080/

    But it does not work. IE says it cannot display page. I am not surprised!:tire:

    This mess is really beginning to get at me.

    What would be the simplest and fastest way to get this gunk up and running?

    Should i uninstall oscam+mgcamd and instead go for Cccam (which actually worked in BH 1.6.5)? If so, which version of Cccam is compatible with BH 1.7.3?

  • Yupp!

    Uninstalled oscam and mgcamd and installed Cccam 2.2.1 and almost immediately got picture and sound!

    Thanks for all your help guys!

    I wish this box and its software was a lot more user friendly. Without your help i would be lost.

    I might be back later in another thread with more beginners questions.

    Until then, have a really nice weekend all of you who have helped me.

  • Glad you got soretd buddy, i will close this thread now that the problem has been soretd. As you say you can start another thread for any other questions you have.

    Enjoy your weekend too!
