  • It's in the file, just follow its path, its structure... You have the info in my guides. It tells you where it is if you DL the softcamkey file downloader, it's on the net, everywhere, c'mon...

    etc/tuxbox/...

... = depending which version of OSCam you are using... as in config or configccache etc.

Zgemma H7 image with only two, bigger partitions in flash (cca. 1.5GB)

To use it, it is necessary (only once) to flash this image via USB and the button on the fornt panel.

After this you can freely flash images on-line (from SW manager or pure2 manager) in STARTUP_1 or STARTUP_2.

Once you do it you can install PurE2 v. 6.4 via pManager > SW Manager > Flash on the fly > blue button (Switch to 6.4) > rock'n'roll...:beer1:

  • If we want to go back to the 4 partitions, do we just USB flash a standard image, or is there another process?

  • Standard image via USB stick, yes...

Btw, 6.4 is still experimental, trying to bring SSL 1.11 around with new OSCams for it, better with VOD, allegedly etc. etc.

    CCcam works, though...

  • No, it isn't, as I said, still experimental....

But if you install 2 partitions v. 6.3... I presume you would get the 6.4 the same way I did and explained how...

  • One more thing I forgot, I am told...

Important: CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AFTER INSTALLATION, using PuTTy (in Telnet protocol, port will be 23):

After installation of PurE2 image your login details are:

username = root (hit Enter button on your keyboard)

    password = pure2 (> Enter, as above).

To change the password type: passwd (be careful!)

Now, enter the new password (5 - 8 characters long) of your choice and hit Enter button on your keyboard.

Repeat the password > hit Enter.

You will not see anything happen on the screen, when you are doing this, so BE CAREFUL!!! :beer1:

    ==========================RCU CAN DO, TOO!!!=========================

Alternatively, by simply using your Remote Control Unit, from the comfort of your armchair/sofa:

    in PurE2 > MENU > Setup > System > Network > Password setup > input new password...

  • A unique PurE2 image for Zgemma H7 with only 2 partitions!

    And I quote:

"Zgemma H7 image with only two, bigger partitions in flash (cca. 1.5GB)

To use it, it is necessary (only once) to flash this image via USB and the button on the front panel.

After this you can freely flash images on-line (from SW manager or pure2 manager) in STARTUP_1 or STARTUP_2."

To return to 4 partitions in Zgemma H7 Flash, one uses a "normal" image, which repartitions the H7 Flash.

And both 2 and 4 partitions images partition the H7 flash CORRECTLY, unlike many other images... ;)

So, a unique, top quality image (what else do you expect from PurE2 Team :laugh1:) for the discerning, serious hobbyist with serious demands...

So, by default Zgemma H7 has 4 partitions. This unique image repartitions the eMMC/flash. It must delete everything on it in order to make a new partitioning system with only 2 larger partitions, of course, how else?

  • With the new partitioning scheme for zgemma h7, the 4 partition image to me is really a two partition image, the first partition is around 1 gb, then the others share the other partition, it's like they just create a mount point and assign it as a second, third and fourth partition, i can tell this by looking at the space available and how its used up as you install stuff to other partitions.

  • Not at my end.

Look at this, a simplified version of my logs for the second partition:

So, the first is v. 6.3 and - if memory servers - its size is 1.4GB , while the other, as you can see above, 1.5GB.

There are also 2 more partitions:

-1/2 GB /tmp, which both images use

-1/2 GB SWAP partition, which both images use, as well...

Which image did you use exactly?

  • Delfi/tromo says:

SF8008/Viper 4K -- Fixed nasty problem with mSD init.

    - SW update your PurE2 image in the flash (In case of SF8008, if the flash procedure was done in 2019, it might be good idea to do a USB flash as some partitioning is new)

    - reboot the box

    - MENU --> Setup --> MultiBoot Maintenance --> YELLOW (Init SDcard)

    - reboot the box

You should be good to go with Multiboot and extra space for movies/recordings/settings backups on mSD mountend as /media/hdd.

    PurE2 > MENU > Setup > Service Searching > Blind scan > good luck... ;)

    Blindscan doesn't work on Cband.

    Try the attached satellite.xml

FTP the file to etc - enigma2 and reboot box

    Then try a manual scan

I dont Use C band, so report back if it works or not

  • Indeed, that's the "cheat the circumstances" step I would do, too... :rasta2bigsmoke0gf1::laugh1::P:thumbup:

Btw, Giggzy, are you using PurE2? If you do, it's not Estuary skin?

OSmio4K/plus/mini - kernel update to version 5.5, drivers, wifi drivers update, etc.

Simple SW update and reboot seems to be ok.
