  • And I quote:

"Zgemma H7 image with only two, bigger partitions in flash (cca. 1.5GB)

To use it, it is necessary (only once) to flash this image via USB and the button on the front panel.

After this you can freely flash images on-line (from SW manager or pure2 manager) in STARTUP_1 or STARTUP_2."

So, by default Zgemma H7 has 4 partitions.

This unique image repartitions the eMMC/flash.

It must delete everything on it in order to make a new partitioning system with only 2 larger partitions.

To return to 4 partitions in Zgemma H7 Flash, one uses a "normal" image, which repartitions the H7 Flash to its default 4 partitions, deleting the previous partitioning system and everything on the flash/eMMC.

And both 2 and 4 partitions images partition the H7 flash CORRECTLY, unlike many other images... ;)

So, a unique, top quality image (what else do you expect from PurE2 Team :laugh1:) for the discerning, serious hobbyist with serious demands...:rasta2bigsmoke0gf1:

Here is my proposal for README file for RECOVERY procedure for Zgemmas:

    **** ATTENTION ****

This RECOVERY procedure (using *_recovery_emmc.zip files) should normally be done very, very rarely and only when absolutely needed:

    1) when you have issues accessing the MULTIBOOT MENU or

    2) if there is an essential update to these files.

This is needed to avoid conflicts between images, as the partition layout (bootargs) is of huge importance.

A small change can destroy all your installed images.

So better not to install it, unless it's really needed.

Once you do it you can install PurE2 v. 6.3 via pManager > SW Manager > Flash on the fly > blue button (Switch to 6.5) > rock'n'roll...:beer1:

  • Why don't you open a thread in PurE2 section?

This question is not in a good spot, m8... This is a thread about a special image for a special box, not these minor issues...

Btw, we use 1, 4, 7 for RW and for FF the opposite = 3, 6, 9 buttons.

  • Not every thread is for any question. It's the wrong thread! Look at the topic title, please...

Open a new thread for these questions, so we can clean-up this thread from things which are not relevant in this thread, merely telling people of a special kind of image for H7...

  • When you first flash PurE2 Image with 2 partitions (USB) than are 2 partitions available!

Now you can flash another image in slot 2 with Online/Local flashing method.

    Slot 1 PurE2

    Slot 2 open.....

you can flash Image again in Slot 1 with online / local method the 2 partitions are remain !

  • DJ, you should know by now that I covered all important aspects of flashing and setting up of all essential parts of PurE2.

    0) Only a little bit of reading in this section answers these simple questions:

H7S MultiBoot "How To" - Discussion thread

    - everything here is described in my manner, every step explained, backed up with screenshots,

    - so most people can do it with my tutorials...

    1) You can see how to flash a RECOVERY file, which will repartition your flash in a normal, 4 partitions manner:

    http://www.pur-e2.club/OU/imag…=6.5/airdigital/RECOVERY/

    - we still do not have v. 6.5 for only 2 partitions but that is not important,

    - once you have 2 partitions you can install whatever you want in any of the partitions, of course, so

-you do not need to do that now, just flash another image in another partition.

    2) How? Well, as I said, since

-you already flashed a normal PurE2 image in your Zgemma H7 multiboot system's first partition, you can

-now install another one to the second partition, of any kind, from a USB stick (or HDD/SSD or mSD, it matters not),

-as carefully described in detail by me here:

    http://www.pur-e2.club/OU/imag…x.php?dir=6.5/airdigital/

    Good luck, m8! ;)

P.S. Look, if you still feel uncomfortable with all this - perhaps you could ask a friend to do it for you once, so you get to see it? Maybe then it will "sit" for you, if written word is a problem?

Sometimes, as I understand it, people are borne with difficulties reading/perceiving written stuff but if they see it done then it's OK. I know, as I have a son with special educational needs. Don't get me wrong, he is in the top 9% of Humanity when it comes to IQ and general capabilities but he has problems with language. Not his fault, he was borne like that.

So, one of the reasons why I liberally lace my tutorials with images is because it may help a number of people and being a teacher by profession I am aware of these issues, ergo try it and if it doesn't work - some friend of yours should jump in and take you through the process once, so you can see it done... :)

P.P.S. I have edited the top message with additional information... ;)

  • Hello,

I flashed my Zgemma H7S with pure2 6.3 2 partitions and flashed OpenPli on the second partition.

I upgraded the first partition (Pure2 6.3) to Pure2 6.4 but upgrading to 6.5 isn't displayes in the "flash on the fly" menu.

How can I upgrade to 6.5 and which file do I need for that?

    Thank you very much

  • m8 I did this procedure just last week on my Zgemma h7s...except I went straight from a clean install of a 6.3 image 2 partitions and then flashed the normal 6.5 image onto the box from "flash on the fly"...the box is working perfectly...only thing I would say is make certain you have done a backup of your present image and also do a separate settings backup....all my channel lists and plugins were restored as they shoud be...regards

  • Why you do not put the last 6.5 unziped at a stick in Folder/media/hdd/images/ if you have so big Problems ? After this flash this Image from stick over pmanager it will be found
