How do I configure time shift to just use as a buffer and not have it recording every prog I zap to? Its filling up the disk!!

Have you uncommented it? So remove <!--

It should look like this

<include filename="extras.xml" />

<include filename="vix.xml" />

But I have now, which has corrected Backup manager, Imagemanager, Install Local extension, Mount Manager & Swap manager. Also Cron timers.

Autotimer, Timer & Power timers screens are still as before very small and difficult to read

You've done something wrong, this is what they look like on ViX

I’m beginning to wonder if another skin is conflicting the effected Autotimer, Timer & Power timers!

To resolve the issues I have had with Autotimers & Timers not displaying correctly on the latest OpenVIX image builds,

It would seem there’s a conflict reading timers.xml within slyk-1080-r19/ Skin folder

To get around this I have simply renamed timers.xml to timers1.xml

And replicated the change within skin.xml

<include filename="timers1.xml" />

which has had the desired result now Timers & Autotimers appear full screen

Another skin cannot conflict with the xml files in this skin folder. That's a new one to me.

There should be no real reason to do this.

But if it works for you. Then no need for me to worry about it.

Guess I was just clutching at straws,

But for whatever reason timers.xml file that resides in the skin folder has a conflict somewhere in OpenVIX image

Do you know how to turn on debug logs.

If so. Turn on debug logs.

Reboot your gui and go to the software update screen.

Then check your latest debug log which will tell you what this screen is called.

I don't use vix so no idea what this screen is called on VIX (and its been quite a while since I did any skinning work)

hi KiddaC i believe that uncommenting that also fixed the software update menu, as it looks bigger now. i will check again when there's a new vix software update. check the attached pic. thanks
