I need to know why yours is broke and mine isn't. But logging off now. So if you want to do some detective work from the git screenshot above, or by comparing 1.02 and 1.04 Slyk18Picon.py file. Then please do.

  • I downloaded your e2picon app and downloaded icons but they not showing on sky q skin (I downloaded to usb) have i done something wrong?

change the download folder in epiconizer to /media/hdd/picon or /media/usb/picon (depending on what your external media is called)

or if you left epiconizer as default. Copy them from that download location into one of the above.

  • Hey there.

Skin used: Latest Onyx with all extras/mods installed also

OS: OpenATV 6.4 latest for Vu DUO 4K

OS: OpenVix 5.3.27 for Vu DUO 4K

I notice when you pause, or seek forward or back on a recording, under OpenATV you do not see the pause icon, nor do you see the speed in which you seek, ie

    2x, 4x, 8x ...etc

All is perfect under OpenVix, screenshots attached for comparison. The screen is paused in both images, vix on left, openatv on the right

  • Can I ask a dumb question...what exactly does the shared components ipk do? My understanding of it was to eliminate the need to install the mods like epgselection, etc. For me, though, I still have to install the epgselection file if I want the tabs regardless of the image I use. Am I missing something?

  • My skins use custom elements, like smooth picon resizing, custom time formats, custom lists.

This is what is in the shared components.

All mod files are exactly that. Mod files and still have to be installed manually as they overwrite exsting core elements. So that is user choice.

    Ah, okay, thanks for that!

  • Another question...sorry...is there a newer epgselection file available for Pure2? The one I’m using is about 18 months old and I seem to lose picons in the graphical epg whenever I use it. I have it set to show picons but they aren’t there. Without the epgselection file, they are there.

Sorry to be a pain. I searched the forums but didn’t find anything. Thanks

Just for reference purposes, I got a bootloop when I selected your skin. I am uisng the files built direct from Github and was built a couple of days ago. ViX 5.4 001.006

  • abu baniaz are you using multiboot by any chance

I kept getting this error initially myself on my multiboot setup.

Only installed one image and it went away

I am thinking it is possibly a clash between python 2.7 imaging and python 3 imaging

I havent seen that error for a while now.

  • abu baniaz what picon set are you using

    Do you have a link.

Or even just sent me one picon that is crashing on boot so I can put it on my system and see if I get the same results.

in fact was it openvix I was seeing this error on my multiboot setup.

I will put vix on again soon. My second box is solely for python 3 testing at the moment
