  • Important: Please unzip the image-archive directly to the USB-Stick, the reason is that the directories are created correctly.

    1. If you do a new Flash: Download the Image to your local PC hard-drive (USB Version)
    2. Format the USB Stick with the filesystem FAT or better with FAT32
    3. Unzip the file directly to the USB-Stick (use: WinRAR, WinZIP, 7ZIP, etc.)
    4. The Folders /vuplus/zero have been added to the USB-Stick.
    5. 5 files are in the folder /vuplus/zero
    6. If you do a Backup Flash (Step 1 to 5 is unnecessary): Copy the previously created backup to the USB-Stick.
    7. Power off the Vu+ STB (Deepstandby or Powerswitch)
    8. Remove all USB Devices from the Box.
    9. Plug-in the USB-Stick.
    10. Power on the Vu+ STB.
    11. The white LED pulsates during the Flash process.
    12. Wait until the white LED starts blinking.
    13. Power off the Vu+ STB.
    14. Remove the USB-Stick.
    15. Power on the Vu+ STB.

If the flash of the BOX doesn't work, this could also be the reason of the size of the USB-Stick or the folder structure. The smaller the USB stick (2 GB) the better, in FAT32 formated.

  • Hello, I have a problem with the decoder

as always, I wanted to upload an image, I turned off the decoder, inserted a pendrive and then turned on the decoder and to my surprise it does not want to turn on, the front LED light does not light up, the decoder seems to have died, I do not know what is the reason for this ;( please help

  • I wrote this in two different forums

I have two decoders vu zero 4k and vu uno 4k se and the same problem and I don't know if it's the pendrive's fault I have 8gb I've always used only the same pendrive and at the moment the decoders don't want to start ;( I'm devastated

Low level format the usb stick first, use this tool that is free.

HDDGURU: HDD LLF Low Level Format Tool

Then report back if you still having issues.

  • I'm currently using open atv but that's what I do, tomorrow I'll have these decoders and I'll try on a smaller pendrive, below 8gb

do you think it will help, since the decoder doesn't even want to start and after trying to turn it on, even the front LED light doesn't turn on at all?

or could it be that, for example, the system, processor or other part in the decoder has simply failed?

you not explaining the full story. The question is how do you manage to have 2 decoders in the same state.

Why do you not have these decoders, are they yours or not ?

  • The decoders are my friend's friend who has two decoders to which I was to upload a new image, they asked me to do it, I went and uploaded it and to my surprise after installing the pendrive and starting the decoder, the decoder did not start, I had a problem with one decoder so we tried the second one and there was the same problem, that's why I'm looking for a solution here, before I maybe take it to the service but they are out of warranty but maybe in my city I'll manage to find someone who will know the cause, but I preferred to ask smart people here on the forum, maybe they will help me
