a newbie i am so I need yours help to upload the dream elite 6 image in my dm 900 just bought.
This is the problem…
no ip address appear on the lcd display in rescue mode, to enable this ip address i have connected via ethernet cable my pc desktop and tp link router dhcp is enabled an the ip address of dm 900 is 192.168.1.102.
All done i have connected via telnet the dm 900 using putty login is ok with "root" no password is required this is the command
update-rescue -v
nothing happen because this command >update< or >rescue< is not included in the telnet commands visible typing "HELP"
Do you have the right command string to upload this firmware to my dm900?
I have the last 0.70 putty version

RESOLVED
The ip address should not appear on the lcd display.
Simply read the ip address in the info about dm 900 inside the dm 900 menu when dm 900 is connected with the router.
Connect via ethernet cable NOT WIFI your router to the lan port (please be sure that DHCP in the router is ENABLED and assign a unique ip address to dm 900 (my is 192.168.1.102)
Now boot in rescue mode pressing and continue hold the power button until it is red light and you should see a steady exclamation point then appear "rescue mode"
After this open IE browser and type the ip address of your dm 900 in the empty space above http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx press enter and the firmware upload page appear.
Click firmware upload and browse the tar.xz file you want install.
