try manual install or telnet
send ipk to /tmp folder
Manual:
OpenVix install instructions
- Menu > setup > VIX > Ipkg install
- memory/tmp
- Press ok on the package
- press green to install.
Telnet:
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
If you get an error post it here..
-
Collected errors:
*opkg_solver_install:Cannot install package /temp/enigma2_plugin-

That error is confirming this verson of oscam is already installed.
Try this version.
You should see oscam-svn11517 in softcam manager (blue button)
Force install with telnet or remove previous versions, then install new.
-
how do i force install with telnet?
-
Start DCC
Send .ipk to /tmp folder (make sure only the new ipk is present in this folder)
Click Telnet tab
Paste in this command then press enter opkg install --force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
Copy errors, if any, here.

Hello.
The -force-overwrite is wrong syntax I think ;-). More info here: https://oldwiki.archive.openwrt.org/doc/techref/opkg
So, try the argument with two minus signs at the begin of argument: --force-overwrite
But I think a better is to use another argument, instead of this one, so, try the argument: --force-reinstall
So, finally command is:
opkg update && opkg install --force-reinstall /tmp/enigma2-plugin-softcams-openvix-oscam.emu_11517_mips32el.ipk
This "opkg update" is there because if there is no list of packages (from the feed server) on the local disk in the set top box, or if the list is out of date, it may also cause problems in recognizing the versions of the packages you want to install. That's why it's nice to update this local list of all available online packages. It has happened to me many times. It has helped update the list of package feed servers ("opkg update" command).

oscam is showing in softcam folder but still not starting
