HELP WITH AUTO BOUQUET MAKER

Dear Users,

i need your assistance as i have run out of trouble shooting ideas for issue with my AUTO BOUQUET MAKER.

as i understand the issue correctly, i think by ABM updated from 2.8 to 3.1 somewhere in few months ago and since then all the boquets are gone.

1. i am attaching images of my Softcam manager setting (currently mg_camd)

2. tuner Config showing that i am receiving a healthy signal on tuner C. i have a virgin Line.

3. when i try and update my ABM it gives me error "failed to tune Virgin UK on tuner C"

4. when i try and update the providers it gives me error. incompatible version 2.8 > 3.1

5. i am connected to 40169 Lewishm as this has been for the last few years and its working well.

6. attaching my ABM configuration if someone can see a fault.

7. attaching my ABM logs if someone needs to investigate.

abu baniaz any help will be greatly appreciated. i just need to get the categories back and ensure my nightly updates of ABM dont mess this up again

I am guessing you need to update ABM to latest version this should be done from pluginbrowser >> manage extension >> update

depending on what STB you have and what image you are using?

I am guessing you have a DM with Newnigma2?

Are you able to receive the frequency ABM is trying to tune to? I doubt it because the QAM64 frequencies havr been switched off in almost all areas.

I have uploaded a newer ABM, install it. You can then update provider file. ABM will then try to lock onto a different frequency.

Sorry, not on PC, so cannot post link. It should be in the filebase.

We need to now what STB you have (Model) and what image you are using to advice you about

what file to use and how to manual install/Upgrade

Okey you have a Vu+ Duo2 with an outdated VIX image.

You can allways stay with this image but i really recommend that you backup your channels and softcam settings

and then reflash with latest OpenVix image or why not since you have a Vu+ try OpenBlackhole or Blackhole image

They both have ABM in the plugin feeds with full support :)

If you deside to stay with your current image its the mipsel32 ipk file you need and only that file

Download ipk and then transfer with ftp to folder /tmp

Use software manager in Vix and choose manual install ipk file to do this.

Or if you now how to use Telnet (Putty) just typ this in the telnet window

opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

If you decide to stay with Vix....

Create a settings backup using Backup Manager.

Download new image using PC and transfer it to /hdd/imagebackups/

Flash new image using Image Manager

After it restarts, restore settings and plugins at the prompts.

many thanks for your help. its resolved. chanels are back up. ABM works like a charm now.

i dont watch tele that much and it was for my mum.

I am creating backup of all setting. but will leave VIX as is.

Just uninstall your existing ABM via plugins menu

Reboot your box and reinstall abm via plugins menu

OBH 4.2 is depricated so the feeds are probably not up to date. OBH is now at 4.4/5.0
