Hello all. Got curious and installed OpenATV 6.4 on my Mio 4K last night.
Tried the feed shown above. It let me install one of the latest oscam-emu versions.
Tried a few different things after dropping my keys file in the proper location.
There was no webif available. I dropped the oscam binary from my backup that worked into bin. Still no good.
Then dropped my config files from the backup into oscam-trunk. Reader Emulator wasn't running and when I started it, oscam nuked it (gone).
Is there a feed for 6.4 yet to get an osam-emu working that I can drop my keys file in and get working with minimal headaches?

Hello.
The original binary must work. Apparently you did not follow the correct procedure for manual installation. You are missing the boot file in the "/etc/init.d" folder or you have not set up the execution attributes (chmod a + x filename). Try using the manual procedure from here:
Tutorial : How to install softcam (OSCam/CCCam) manually, if you hate ipk packages
For OpenATV or OpenPLi and some other Enigma, it is possible to use a different file name instead of "/etc/init.d/softcam" rather "/etc/init.d/softcam.oscam". Then just activate this "init.d" startup script in the GUI MENU in OpenATV. So also read the procedure at the beginning of the script - for OpenATV, and you can also use this procedure (and this script):
https://github.com/s3n0/e2scripts/blob/master/softcam
Your set top box "Edision OS MIO 4K" is based on the ARM chipset, specifically the chipset: Chipset BCM72604. This chipset can also run in 64-bit mode (like the Aarch64 architecture), but OpenATV 6.4 is still probably only 32-bit, so your chipset is running in 32-bit compatibility mode ie. as armv7 architecture. So you need some binary for armv7. If you have an old one, try downloading a new one (build by juli13):
Actually I went through the same procedure as with 6.3 but used the recommended feed for 6.4
Then after that a reboot showed a softcam dropdown in plugins. After pressing download plugins.
I dropped in my softcam.key file in /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-trunk.
Things just didn't work. But we'll give it another shot with the files above.
One change I did notice is a blank password no longer works when using a channel editor and Filezilla.
Just was trying to see if the 4MHz tp spacing blindscan problem had been fixed with as was with the TNAP-3 image with new Avialink tuner drivers.
Yes, OpenATV 6.4 requires password, as well as other new Enigma distributions, for improved security (after fresh image flashing). The password should be set via the GUI-MENU in OpenATV or if you log-in via Telnet (it should work without a password). After connecting via Telnet, change the root password with the command passwd and if OpenWebif still works without a password, you must also enable the HTTP password in the OpenATV GUI-MENU. The FTP password should work the same as for the root user on the system.
Hi there
As the beginning I Flashed vu zero 4k with openatv 6.4 backup image
Changed the network password all ok with FILEZILA
-----but what must be change and where to lights the screen
I will use without any server/cards only softcamkeys on emu like Hadu.dll in dvbViewer
Thanks advance
Hello.
OpenATV 6.4
wget -O - -q http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed | bash && opkg update && opkg install enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-stable
benjo1 :
The "stable" build means an older Oscam version ... rather it's better to use a "trunk" build (the latest build):
wget -qO- "http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed" | bash && opkg update && opkg install enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-trunk
neolin :
I dont understand. What do you need ? Something not working ? Does Softcam not run in OpenATV 6.4 ? Or where exactly is the problem ?
Try running Oscam manually if it is already installed and show the result. First find the name of the installed binary file:
find /usr/bin -type f -name *cam*
When you find a binary and have it correctly installed, try to run the "manpage" argument to this Oscam that if there will appears any error to launch the Oscam binary, for example:
/usr/bin/oscam --help
Hi guys. I have installed openatv 6.4 on my vuduo 4K. Could I get link for soft cam feed for it please? I tried the universal one posted above but it hasn’t shown up in plugins.
wget -O - -q http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed | bash
in putty or telnet paste command and enter. wait few seconds and try download
Have you got an file that can be installed through ipk installer? I’ve never telnet into box so not sure how to go about that. Thanks for the help.
wget -O - -q http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed | bash
in putty or telnet paste command and enter. wait few seconds and try download
The complete procedure is as follows:
wget -qO- http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed | bash # add the new one feed/plugin source (with Softcams packages)
opkg update # update list of available packages
init 4; sleep 5; init 3 # fast Enigma2-GUI restart
Now, as the next step ... go to Plugin-MENU in the Enigma GUI and install some Softcam.
Or also you can to use the following commands (instead of Plugin-MENU in Enigma-GUI):
Have you got an file that can be installed through ipk installer? I’ve never telnet into box so not sure how to go about that. Thanks for the help.
It's going to take a little effort on your part. If using a Windows PC download and install Putty.
Open it. Put in your box IP for host name. Leave the port as it is. SSH. Click Open.
Login as root. Enter the password you gave your box. Copy the text the guys gave you.
At the prompt in the terminal window simply press your enter key.
Verify the pasted command is exactly correct. Hit enter again.

Download and connect to your set-top box using the PUTTY application, whether via Telnet or SSH connection. The login name should be "root" by default and the password, if you have not changed it, is empty - just press "ENTER". However, be careful - in the new OpenATV 6.4, it is necessary to select and set a password ! Otherwise, you will not connect via FTP, SSH, etc. . Without a password, you can only connect using the Telnet protocol. So when you connect via Telnet using the PUTTY app, I recommend setting a new password using the "passwd" command. You can find the IP address or DNS name of your set-top box in the web-interface of your WiFi router or in the Info-MENU in the Enigma-GUI (in the set-top box). The specific IP address in OpenATV should be traceable somewhere through:
Blue Button -> Network -> Network Settings
Ok thanks for the help guys, I’ll give that a go.
Softcam feeds for OpenATV 6.4 seems to be broken.
The Packages.gz seems to be empty but 6.3 feeds is fine
As mentioned by dsayerss, it appears the 4.4 feed is not working, Packages.gz is 0 bytes so anyone using atv 6.4 can't use the feed to install softcams.
Use my script at https://github.com/s3n0/e2scri…am-new-version-updater.sh for Oscam upgrade, as a temporary solution. It is based on the source http://updates.mynonpublic.com/oea/feed script, in which I modified the detection on OE-Alliance 4.3 (instead of 4.4) for openATV 6.4. There is also an automatic update of Oscam. It is necessary to set the shell script according to which Oscam you require.
It appears to be all good this morning
