Have mounted a 32gB USB and want to put my picons on this
what is the mount path?
if its /media/usb, put the picon folder inside usb. the correct path will be /media/usb/picon
if its /media/hdd, put the picon folder inside hdd. the correct path will be /media/hdd/picon
As I said in root /media there are 3 folders autofs, hdd and USB
Should I create a folder in USB called picon?
As I said
What you didn`t tell us was the actual device mount point path.
Use the command df -h to find the mount point.
The device mount point can also be changed within the image menu.
Should I create a folder in USB called picon?
Try it, if it works you know its mounted as /media/usb. If it doesn`t work try the picon folder in hdd.
Sorry that i not understand how i can Use the command df -h to find the mount point .
This one?
Use a telnet client like putty.
Connect to the box > paste in the command > press enter button.
Dreambox control center also has telnet included.
Connect to the box > Click telnet protocol > paste in the command > press enter button.
This one?
The usb device is mounted as /media/hdd. So put the picon folder in hdd.

What image are you using?
Most of all image has a plugin feed where you can download picons.
Go to that download section of your image and download any piconset named usb.
Does not matter for what satellite just choose one random or of cause the one for yours if they have one.
After installation reboot and open with ftp your media/usb to check your new picon folder :)
Upload your picons to that folder and all should work just great
you can highlight the failed transfers, then select "process queue".
or connect the usb to your windows laptop/pc > copy the picon folder to where it should be (hdd) > connect usb back into the box.

I know that, but it's not for me. I receive satellites from 75E- 37.5W and therefore I pick up picons here

You have to start from the beginning. Format your usb in Windows as FAT32. Then you must go to Storage - Initialize devices.
Click on this and choose ext4.When is process finish then you have option Mount -Unmount. Click on mount and choose
mount as media/usb.Then you connect with Filezilla and go to media/usb folder. Make new folder name "picon" and change
attributes to 755. Restart the box and now you must put picons in media/usb/picon folder.

Ok but USB is already installed so it means I can't go back to fat32 on this USB
