Hi All,
I received an N line from my mate and i am having difficulty getting it working on my VU+ duo . I have oscam 11420 installed for this purpose ( I normall run mgcamd ).
I have been looking for the configs but came across so many different ones I am confused at this stage. Also do I need DVBAPI file if I don't have a card in my box. My understanding is that I need the 3 files, server, user and config. I am running Vix 5.1.
Any help appreciated.
How to convert N-lines to Oscam config
Basic files for oscam configuration are:
1. oscam.config (common oscam configuration, oscam server configuration, OscamWebif password, allowed IP address to connect to OscamWebif, etc.)
2. oscam.server (card readers - remote or local)
3. oscam.user (users definition if you use oscam also as the server ... or local user definition "dvbapi" if you want to write to a local satellite card you have in set top box, if you don't use dvbapi user to write to your own card or don't use the oscam as a server then you don't need this oscam.user file)

I am using oscam 11420 latest but not seeing pictures.
Connect through Oscam-Webif and check LiveLOG recording. You can also try to restart Oscam directly in the Webif and watch the LiveLOG again. Is there anything suspicious ? Did the client connect to the server ?

I don't know where the error is because this "reason receive error1" message hangs with various issues. Sorry. The diagnosis would take longer. The problem occurs, for example, when using a dynamic internet IP address (loss of connection = disconnection in an error during internet communication).
What about trying cccam protocol instead of newcamd protocol?
BTW, in your oscam client if you do not use oscam as a server at the same time, you do not need to configure the [cccam] and [newcamd] or other servers in the "oscam.conf" file.
I didn't try cccam as I thought that only newcamd can now open 098c and 09c4 caid.

but every version of oscam can from what i have tested 11.272 to the 11.529
best version for me 11.429 on a dm800se openpli
i would expect earlier versions to work too
also skyde mostly opens using caid 098c
i use multics on a linux pc
and i use these oscam configs
