    Surflock - this means that it is impossible to decode multiple channels simultaneously in one decoding card. I don't know where that dirty text comes from (YOUR CARD IS FUCKED UP WITH SURFLOCK), but if it's true that you have an active Surflock on your card, you can't share it anymore (watch more than one channel at a time from this one decoding card).

    Surflock is included in some decoder card firmware and can be activated remotely by controling / management packets (EMMs).


    It is also possible that Surflock was activated automatically in the built-in firmware when trying to decode very many channels (different streams or the same channel multiple times in a very short interval) simultaneously.


    You can still try another version of Oscam - just to be safe. Ideally, if you download Oscam from a source other than the one you are currently using. However, this probably won't help you anymore.

    Try first to add this to your reader, in the oscam.server file, if you don't have one:

    You got it switched correctly to 6 MHz, uhm, so I do not know ... nothing. What does your oscam.server file look like for a smargo reader ?

    For example, do you have the following items ?

    I don't think this will be Surflock's problem. Your card doesn't initialize, and that's the problem. Oscam has not found out what card decoding system it requires and that is the main problem. You are using some wrong setup of your Smargo reader or you are using an improper configuration of your decoder card (Oscam settings).


    Only some cards need to be paired - some providers unfortunately have begun to fight SoftCAM, just by pairing their decoding cards with their decoding hardware (CAM module or HardCAM respectively) so that Softcam can not be used with their decoding card. However, pairing is not yet validated by any provider and only for new types of decoding cards.


    I think you have a mistake in the reader or in the Oscam settings. Try searching with Google to see who and how to set up this particular reader for that particular card. Make sure that the reader is set to 6MHz (the hardware switch on your external reader box).


    Also, you did not show any LOG listing. It is difficult to advise if we do not see where the cause of the problems is possible. You could set up your own - a separate thread in the discussion, for your specific problem.

    And another totally confusing thread yet again on linuxsat ! if its not the language barrier confusing me it is thread highjackers.

    Anyway...Irdeto are famously known for anti-cs measures and also official card shutdowns from my experience when i was involved in the scene.

    Al Jazeera (JSC) Sports official cards and MOSC cards were fried in servers/ emulator dragon cards were also made redundant due to software changes/card upgrades.



    Surflock was also integrated into there card system years ago where a maximum of 2 ecm's were allowed per official card in the CS scene and they are the only known smartcard security firm to do this to my knowledge.



    I believe Iredto were also the frontrunners in fingerprint technology... and it was simple stuff too... they used a state of the art camera in front of a tv set to view the card serial number that the human eye cannot see..this was after they acquired a line from a payserver so they then knew who was sharing their official cards... NDS and particularly BskyB adopted this technology too and thats why UK sky subscribers back in 2008/2009 were receiving letters stating there subscription was cancelled/ void and they wanted their viewing card back.... changed days now as the security is so advanced with smartcards..



    Irdeto was also the first or at least one of the frontrunners to offer providers unique key pairings between receivers and smartcards to prevent CS which is very similar to what we see now on certain NDS providers and CAK7 on certain Nagravision caids.



    There was also a thread in the public section on linuxsat recently regarding NOVA being wide open with a certain version of oscam... bollocks i say...its never going to be that easy with unique keys and pairing per receiver/account as i explained above...



    I would say you are flogging a dead horse when it comes to irdeto and cs... you could try internal readers in genuine VU+ boxes with specific providers tho...that is worth a shot....



    Smargo readers are Notorious for setting incompatibility/ and or user error as s3no has hinted at above.

    ELFs are executable binaries as well as EXEs in the case of Windows. However, in the case of Linux, there is no need to have a specific suffix, as you know.


    I don't understand what you mean and what you need with ELF. If you want to get info, some Enigms should have a "file" command to display information about the executable binary ELF file. For example: file /usr/bin/oscam


    If you ask about stepping the code, it's a bit tricky. If you want to disassemble the code, it might be better to get the source code. Modify and re-compile it for the proper chipset + with the appropriate libraries inside.
