oscam 11518 .ipk

I am using a tiviar alpha box and tried installing oscam 11518.ipk via telenet . I can see it in softcams manager but cant activate it. Every time i do it goes to another version of oscam. I think that oscam may be corrupt. how do I uninstall and force a reinstall . I must do via telenet as plug in app wont work. I am not very famiilar with linux so if you could please advise step by step commands it would be appreciated.
