Hi Everyone, recently my Dm800Hd cloned could not boot-up, the red light near the front button will blink and after a while, it will stop blinking. Few month ago, the Led screen will turn-off totally after a few hours of turn-on in standby mode. Could anyone tell me what is wrong with it please? Thanks

Hi Inspiral, thank you for your quick reply and solution.
I had previous experience with noCAerror which it will show it on Lcd screen, but this time the Lcd was totally blank. So I think it is not this fault. I have a feeling it is a hardware error. Wonder if anyone had this experience? Can teach me how to solve it please?

Look at the capacitors inside the box, the big 4 generally are with an hill / dead if you have the box going in booting loop or failing boot. Replace them and the box will start working as new.

Hi Emosim & Inspiral, I just finished doing the checking and testing. Seem like it is not the capacitors, please help me see the attached photos if I am right? I also tried using a different power supply and it’s still the same, a few blinking of the red light and it stop. Thanks

The capacitors looks visually ok (but we are never sure they could have dried up also without hill).
Try to flash a new image, with the usual process, check the sim inside and flash a clean new install image to the box with RS232 cable or thru RJ45 network Web interface (set in both cases the Bad Sector Recovery, so it checked the Flash during flashing).

Do you get an IP address when holding the power button. I found a similar or same problem as yours. The model is other, but is not important.

The problem is solved with Dreambox Optiflasher tool. If it fails then there is a problem with the processor.
Good luck.

Hi Panda555, thank you for your reply.
No, it is not connected and there is no Ip address. I can’t even connect with a null cable. So in conclusion, it is a problem of a failed processor. Very sad
Best Regards to All
