The openAtv team! could you consider adding CHmax technology to the image.
Why? You have picons already
Well don't really get you.. have the CHmax on another box(not Linux) and wish the various image teams could incorporate that in Enigma2 images..

What is CHmax ?
Well am also new to this ..
The facility enable one to scan in TP(channels) of satellites that are out of coverage area by the use of internet... however the dish must be pointed to the said satellite for the channels to be downloaded..

All teams have picons in their feeds just download it or from plugins
Have you test from the ATV Feed the Chocholousek Picon Plugin? This is a very good Plugin for Picons.

Well, don't know if you are getting me right or vice versa!
The CHmax enable one to scan in channels on a satellite whose beam doesn't cover your area and be able to watch them... however you must first have signal on any other channels on that satellite and the CHmax will bring other channels on the satellite which you cannot receive normally..
So if Enigma2 already have that function, I will appreciate someone guiding me through...
Sorry onesmore,I have missunderstand what you have mines,I don´t now,if is it with Enugma2 possible and sorry for my bad English.
Hope the image teams would consider it..

could you do a video of it working on the non linux STB ? Also what satellites dose it work on ?
Thx
CHmax now on cheap sunplus recievers and it is just picons in low pixel
I do not know how to enable scan channels are not in your coverage area ? I know it could happen by ip tv channels by ip2sat plugin.
but who knows it could happen
I'm trying to understand how this will be working if implemented on Enigma 2 boxes .
Example : I can only catch on satellite at 28.2 E few channels 'cause i'm out of the beam (southern Italy) with CHmax technology would I be able to get also the rest of the channels (i.e BBC and SKY) ? Thanks ...

Yes! That's what the technology (CHmax) implies
My example; I scan 7east got the channels my dish(60cn) could bring down.. now after applying CHmax , I got couple of channels out of coverage.. using strong srt4954H..
The CHmax technology downloads both channels and picons.. you don't have to do both separately.. whole thing is kind of new and I have not got grips over it yet.. still trying to understand before I can explain better..
Hope the image teams would consider it..

Still trying to understand the whole thing so pardon me if am unable to send any video now
From what you have said, channels that are out of range must remain out of range, nothing other than a bigger satellite dish can solve that.
I can only assume then, that the extra channels / picons your getting are in fact IPTV channels of some sort ?
Obviously i am making a lot of assumptions here !! 7 east has a lot of biss feeds and channels come and go often.
Some examples of what exactly is happening would be helpful
This is the chmax options in Forever receivers ans sunplus
Chmax search was an option from Gosat company they add it years ago but it is a bad option in blind search now and it makes lot of problems.

My dear friend, your initial post above suggest you did not have an idea about CHmax.. however , the current post implies you knew about it long ago..now be fair and straight .. please do explain how the CHmax works so the various Teams can decide if it's necessary to add it to Enigma2

My friend it is just picons for now
Nope, it's not picons only but some channels do show... hence, it's channels with picons..
Channel editors like E-channelizers, Dreamboxedit and Dreamset allow you to create channel list using data from lyngsat and kingof sat.
There were a few plugins to allow you to download channel lists from websites that you host. I forget the names, they were quite old.
Enigma2 was not built with security in mind, this is why people who open up their receivers to the internet get hacked and are used for streaming. Really need to use SSH keys/VPN if doing such things. I don't think there would be interest in doing what that those websites allow aswell as the IPTV aspect of it. Brings all kinds of legal issues for the image teams.
