    Firstly Until the rights of their owners are done, this is a way for Dr. Hazem Tamim in one of the forums

    We thank him for this great work

    In some cases spark 7162 not accept soft rescue in any way by flash or by cisco tftp

    And the smaller file is loaded only mImage, and when the largest file is loaded, the userfsub stops at approximately 65% . Flashing stops on the screen and nothing happens.

    "Cause of the problem "

    The device is downloading files into the device's RAM

    It then loads it Into the ROM's internal memory

    It is assumed that it starts from a certain point in Ram, which is 0x80000000

    For an unknown reason, this point becomes 0x8c000000

    The available memory space to download the files becomes smaller than required, so the smaller file is successfully downloaded and the larger file is not loaded,

    "The solution"

    Is to make the device returns load from the first point 0x80000000

    "Used tools"

    1- hyperterminal Loader

    2- Inverted RS232 cable

    138995-714c3e03b014b8b2aa822-jpg

    3- Com port for desktop or USB TO RS232

    "The method of work"

    1- We make sure that the usb to rs232 id on the computer and know its port number

    1451062448811.jpg

    2- We connect the receiver to the computer by cable with the link and shut down the device from the back

    3- We open the hyperterminal after installing it and follow the next steps very carefully (the port number and settings in the following image) and then click OK

    Bit per second = 115200
    Data bits = 8
    Parity = None
    Stops bits = 1
    Flow controll = None

    ad8512359.jpg

    Write spark, choose the icon, then OK

    a9070742bbbab616423.jpg

    fter selecting your country, the city code you live in, and the port number, click OK

    39fa6becf8a0.jpg

    4- You will see a blank program page and the B100 screen with the receiver

    1451062776621.jpg

    5- Click the menu button on the receiver and open the receiver from the back. The writing will appear in the loader as shown in the image

    399e8e7909ee1725f.jpg

    6- You type command set load_addr 80000000 then press enter

    PDK7105> set load_addr 80000000

    7- You type Save and press enter

    PDK7105> save

    When we are done, close the device from the back and open it again, then download the rescue soft in any way

    Unfortunately, the pictures are not clear from the source, and I will try to get clearer pictures if I can

    in hperterminal ok

    problem is that when i want to give command set load_addr 0*80000000 whenever I type ''set load'' in hyperterminal the 's'' gets autocorrected to ''f'' . how to fix the keyboard setting for hyperterminal so as to get correct word typing

  • My friend / aa7590

    What's new?

    if problem in hyperterminal Still there, you can download another version of the program and try again

    If the problem is not solved, you should go to a specialized technician to recharge the internal flash with a file u-boot through the JTAG because he has the expertise and he have tools to do

  • After changing the start address I now get a timeout error when I try to reload the E2 image. This doesn't happen when loading a Spark rescue image but none the less the Spark side of my A2 does not boot either. They both hang on "boot" occasionally E2 will boot to what is supposed to be the time display.

    Is this a lost cause and a good door stop or can I recover it somehow? I'm open to suggestions here :)

    Use the method for this topic literally while you are on Spark System

    f you do not succeed with you, follow my topic on the link

    Amiko Alien 2 u-boot S25FL016A.bin

    Use at your own risk!

    Emergency HowTo: Overwrite boot loader

    =======================================

    Use only in an emergency!

    - Switch off the box, then connect to a PC / laptop using a null modem cable (RS232)

    - Start HyperTerminal and create a new connection

    -> select correct Com interface

    -> Bits per second: 115 200

    -> Flow control: none

    - Then transfer> send file

    - choose correct uboot-xxx.bin

    - Protocol: Ymodem

    - Click send!

    > now switch on the box!

    - When switching on, keep the [OK] key pressed until [FORC] appears

    - then press the left arrow key [<]

    - R232 appears on the display

    Now the transmission takes place, which should take about 2 minutes.

    Under no circumstances switch off prematurely or other maneuvers in this phase!

    If you do not have enough experience, you can go to a specialized technician to recharge the flash drive, which is best

  • Thank you for the u boot file. I am downloading as I type this. I have plenty of electronics experience in communications-related fields, but I haven't done this type of work in years and the methods are slow to come back to me. Thanks for taking the time to help!

  • After updating U Boot file it no longer attempts to boot up. Most likely I'll have to try J Tag for the boot loader file. But I'm not sure the receiver is worth the effort, it is getting dated. I liked the network record so I could keep everything in one place but I'll learn to search drives when I need a program LOL.

    Thanks for taking the time to offer suggestions on this fiasco!
