Star 2S stuck on boot after power outage

Also unsuccessfully tried reflashing over SSH,could be doing this wrong though.

Any ideas ?

the log clearly states

usb usb2-port2: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?

So my first question is are you using a good name branded usb stick less than 8gb in size formatted to fat32 ?? (preferably low level formatted)

Dose the usb stick have a led light inside it so you can actually see it working ??

this is normal with a corrupt nand, the reflash process is meant to fix this

The fact you have a log from terminal means it is not bricked, it is corrupt.

Nearly all nand chips will have bad blocks, is you get a bad block in the wrong place ( i forgot where, number 1 or 2 is in the back of my mind) then you may have to replace the nand chip - too much work on that box unless your really handy with a solder iron and airflow gun...... and you can find the chip.

Perhaps your usb port circuit is damaged from the power issue..... can you check the voltage at the ports ?

Also try another usb port....

Are you trying to flash with everything but the power and usb stick disconnected ??

I am using an 8 gb adata USB stick that I used many times before to flash these receivers,no activity LED though.

Will try another USB flash drive and the front USB also will check for 5v on the USB port.

Only power supply and USB connected.

I understood only the rear USB port could be used for reflashing.

You may be right about rear usb ports not had that particular box in a long time now mate, let us know how you get on....

have you tried flashing the bootloader only via usb stick ?

Can you take a log when doing so.... should only take seconds via usb stick

Well respect for keeping at it mate, im afraid it is the same ....not seeing the USB devices....

Im out of ideas myself, perhaps someone else that reads this will be able to provide so more insight.... looks like a hardware failure of some sort to me.
