Changed the title of the thread from “OPenatv 6.4 problem with arabic/persion words” to “Openatv 6.4 problem with arabic/persian words”. -
This question belongs more to the OpenATV discussion forum (https://www.opena.tv/forum33/) and you can also add a screenshot of the error to them.
-
All OE Alliance images are incomplete when it comes to translations so therfore you get a mix of English and Arabic
-
This is not the case at all, it does not show Arabic/persian words at all.
-
Then it can be a skin issue where the fonts in the skin you are using dont support Arabic/Persian language
Do you have the samme issue if you choose skin default ??
-
As I wrote, you need to take a screenshot, e.g. via Open-Webif. It's very simple and will help identify the problem. However, this will probably be a problem with the character code set. I don't know for sure.
-
This is a problem with any skin.
-
-
But all works fine if you change to UK language i guess??
If so its either a bad font without support for persian or a broken translation file
This looks like we need some help maybe from abu baniaz or maybe ahmed gazye can enlight us about this issu??

Then the fonts should be in the path named inside the skin and also have the same name as in the skin.xml
exaple from skin if this is how the font settings look then you find the fonts to replace in folder /usr/share/fonts
<font filename="tiny.ttf" name="Regular" scale="100" />
<font filename="ae_AlMateen.ttf" name="Replacement" scale="100" replacement="1" />
<font filename="tiny.ttf" name="Subtitlefont" scale="100" />
<font filename="tuxtxt.ttf" name="Console" scale="100" />
If font settings are like this you find the font location in folder /usr/share/enigma2/whats the skin name/fonts
<font name="Regular" filename="/usr/share/enigma2/slyk-q-1080/fonts/slyk-regular.ttf" scale="100" />
<font name="Bold" filename="/usr/share/enigma2/slyk-q-1080/fonts/slyk-medium.ttf" scale="100" />
<font name="Console" filename="/usr/share/enigma2/slyk-q-1080/fonts/Inconsolata-Regular.ttf" scale="100" />

Do all images you have tried have this issue? Which skins have you tried? Have you seen debug logs for any errors?

No all images only this image OPENATV6.4.
The skin is matrix and I try two any skin.
I d't have debug logs.
-
OpenATV has Arabic translation, maybe incomplete. So it should also support Persian.
You need to enable debug logs and see what it says.
-
