It's hard to say which image is the best. I agree with you, you need to change image. My suggestion is Pure2 ( v.6.2 ) for DM800SE.
You can also try as first Openvision which is suggested MBI . OpenATV is still "too heavy" ( almost 60 Mb ) for ours boxes.
