Any software like DVBViewer(Win) in Linux?

  • I am looking for a DVB Player in linux distro. Linux Mint or Manjaro can work is the best.


    I want to use the TV Tuner hardware directly, not like Tvheadend send the IP Stream.

  • kaffeine is the one that i still use in an old "experiment" ubuntu laptop. as i saw, it supports also mint...

    But the same question for you ,how can it support encryption plugin? I heard the new version not support DVB plug-in, is it true?

    The upstair picture is the setting UI for kaffeine,but nothing.


    any other solutions can I use?

  • i am not sure... as i said it was in an old experiment... and i don't know what happens now


    also in the past i used the "ubuntu-bionacle" which supports encryptions, but it was too a few years ago and i don't know too what happens today
