    But the same question for you ,how can it support encryption plugin? I heard the new version not support DVB plug-in, is it true?

    The upstair picture is the setting UI for kaffeine,but nothing.

    I am looking for a DVB Player in linux distro. Linux Mint or Manjaro can work is the best.


    I want to use the TV Tuner hardware directly, not like Tvheadend send the IP Stream.


    Can anyone help me give me the software name or make me find the direction, thank you for your help.

    I think you maybe have this one right?


    this is the astrometa 2018 version, a lot of discussion in forum. It's very cheap about 10 Euro or US$13


    It can work in Win10 perfectly, use year's 2019 version drivers and any DVB player.

    But without official (CD-ROM) software, you can't change mode with DVB-T or DVB-C , the default is DVB-T.

    Someone wrote a astrometa switch in Windows solving all problems.

    In Linux, most of all enigma2 image Kernel is 4.1.x, can't not support new hardware of demodulator which is SONY D2837er.

    You can download C files compile by yourself or wait the 5.x kernel enigma2 image. you should be familiar knowledge about linux kernel.

    Totally can say the happy ending and need some time.

    If linux kernel can load 2841er.ko module it can work.


    I used it DVC-C on my Respberry Pi, it work in tvheadend.

  • Installed the dvb-usb Tuners IPK files, and how to find and load the .ko files to system?

    SystemOS is Vu+ offical, I want to use T230 for USB DVB-C tuner.


    Other OS like OpenATV and OpenPli when I installed plug-in package from menu, it will automatic loaded to OS.


    But Vu+ offical OS do not have plug-in menu so I get the IPKs want to manully install it to Vu+ offical OS


    After installed I can use opkg list command find the package in the OS, but where is .ko files?

    Thanks for your answer, it made me clear.


    Also received bad news from you, I bought a Vu+ UNO 4K SE..the official image is too simple..have to and must to change the third-party images.


    I am not the open source fan, if user can change more the stability can not guaranteed.

    I can understand some manufacturer wants they receiver work stably, because not all of user are sat-holic, even holics are just a few people.

    but the OpenATV are support many different brand receivers, they should support more, and also OpenATV are facing sat-holic users. they should do more catch they newest kernel and support more usb-dvb-tuners devices

    I installed the ubuntu 20 for test new hardware, the Kernel 5.x can load the drivers automatically

    I believe some of you use MyGica T230 devices and they also have many version, like T230C and T230C2, this two use different step of si2168, current popular image can't support it like most common OpenATV and BlackHole.

    Now, above pic show 5.x kernel support different version of si2168 firmware, but why OpenATV and BlackHole and many other images still stay 4.1x kernel?


    Recent days OpenATV & BlackHole update several version but not include kernel update.
