flash is out dated if you continue to update your system could be unusable

    Hi I'm having a issue of doing a software update on zgemma h9.2s got the latest openatv image on it but says flash is out dated and if you continue to update your system could be unusable, something like that but it's a new image

    That depends on how many new packages will be updated and which ones.


    So, new flashing, from scratch...

    Don't perform a software update. Instead, use your remote to download the image then flash it. Select the option to create a settings backup. After new image is flashed, you will "Fast restore" the old settings/options as we all as re-install plugins that are available on the plugin server.

    A new flash even though this flash is just bin on two weeks, every time it has a new flash there's always over 120 updates after a couple days of flash

    That depends. If you do it regularly (I restart my E2 machine every day and see if there is a SW Update - if so, I do it!) or not... If you do, there are fewer libs to update, so there is usually no need to re-flash it all from scratch...


    Moreover, various Teams have a stable E2 version and a more "experimental" one, which is a bleeding edge of that teams' development...
