  • As the title says, I'm looking for an STB with dual Sat inputs, DVB-T (Saorview) and enough grunt to run Kodi decently snappy.

I have a separate dedicated Kodi box which is getting long in the tooth and won't do > 1080P anyhow. My current box (OS Mega) is also getting long in the tooth and doesn't run Kodi at all for me in the current version OpenVix (or at least is trying to play some crazy resolution that my TV won't/cannot). Ideally the new STB would combine both box functionality..

I'd like fast satellite scanning and obviously 4K support for the future too. Not really bothered about cost, this is going to last me hopefully for at least 5 years so like a good mattress its worth spending a bit extra to get a good one in my opinion.

Not bothered about lines right now or android though am pretty much OS agnostic, that said I'm very much a fan of the brilliant Slyk Onyx skin so I guess I'd need to stay with Enigma 2 for that?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Approved the thread.
  • well there are many sto that can fit your request

But VU+ DUO 4K SE is the one I would recommend right now

there is the new AX 61 4K to, but im not sure if you can run the KODI

GigabBlue Quad 4k is another alternative

all this stb have possibility to run both sat, cable and terrestrial tuners. you can mix the wished tuners with your needs

  • Zgemma H7 is the most complete box that I know of, with the price-tag that is only about half or even a third of DMM or Vu boxes, which sometimes are struggling to do the same that H7 does easily...

It will continue to be produced for another 2-3 years, so support will continue!

Lots of full, detailed info in my threads... ;)

  • gorski, is Zgemma supporting Android or is just plain Enimga2 ?

is have read that supports linux and this means enigma2, and they state also Android support, but reading a bit a round is see the android part is non existed

i have not tested this boxes, but I mean that AX 61 4K and some Octagon are based on same architecture.

is there a European supplier for wholesales or one have to buy right from China ?

  • Kari, I explained in other posts precisely what you asked...

Android is not really on the cards from Broadcom side, from what I heard...

HiSilicon Zgemmas soon, we hope.... In H10 and H9 Twin/Combo SE (not the first edition)....

Previously, in other boxes with Droid, we did not have a great experience... Let's hope this one coming would be better...
