It depends of the image, new bixes working with DMM enigma2 require deb, open images use ipk.

Ok, but for practical use in (Dreambox 525) that is important which software to choose because of plugins , and developing of other software in future . and buying new sat receiver?

If you want to use OpenPLi/OpenATV/OpenBH in your DM52x box, you will need ipk. If its DMM images, then you will need deb files for your plugin. So you have all choices, just you need to use the right image for your plugin/box.

.ipk won't work for DM 525 only .deb

ipk will work on DM525HD, it you use OpenPli, OpenATV, OpenBH, PurE2, etc. The deb as well as ipk is image related. For example on DreamOne/Two/Seven with OpenPli the files are ipk as well.

Hi
I was thinking of buying a Dreambox Two UltraHD and putting an official OpenDreambox image.
Only .deb files can be installed in this image?
.Ipk extensions can be installed on other images
Thank you.

Correct, the official factory image is DreamOS and requires the .deb extension for all addons.
An .ipk can be extracted and the contents sent to the receiver. It may or may not work properly though.

Thanks for the reply.
Can the receiver be accessed by openwebif in the DreamOS image?
Can you use the personal list of channels that I have in Dreambox edit, in this DreamOS image?

Yes to both questions.

Thanks for the answers.
It seems like a more difficult receiver to configure than the Edision OS MIO or the Vu +.
They even say on the forum that it costs too much money.

This receiver is an Enigma2 receiver, so it's like any other Enigma2 receiver (VU+/etc). No differences for configuration as it's exactly the same software.

I hope it is as you say.
If I do not know any question I will ask you.
I am a GP and these issues are difficult for me.
Sorry for the google translator.
