  • Hi everyone, I've been out of the FTA scene for a while and quite rusty and need help understanding the correct key format for pv and biss under oscam-emu.

I'm currently running oscam-emu on a docker container on my synology NAS.

So far I'm only able to open this 3 pv channels on 30W. using following key format.

    30W Hispasat

    ;OK

I believe this configs might be correct because I'm able to open this 3 channels, the question is why I'm unable to open any other pv channel in my softcam.key, they can't all be bad I would think.

Anyway what I really need help with is understanding where this number is coming from? for example in this line:

    P 0290 00 191F1B713B6777 ;Hola TV HD, 30.0W, 12092 H 30000

The number 0290 I can't find it anywhere in the lyngsat listing on on my receivers info display.

once I learn what this number represents I believe I can fix all the other lines in my softcam.key file.

    Thanks very much guys

  • Thanks everybody for your kind replies.

All I have is an old openbox S9, which is the reason I'm running oscam-emu + cccam on my nas.

This is what it shows when I hit info on that hispasat transponder.

And I can see vid and pid but not service ID. And remember this channel does open here is the log:

"(ecm) skybox (0E00@000000/0000/0029/76:08D5F4700CC1AE21F79D812D85EA4E4E): found (0 ms) by emulator"

And here is the one, when it does not work:

    "

(emu) ECM failed: Key not found

(ecm) skybox (0E00@000000/0000/0136/48:FE55CFF03F8E53D37E694083F13217AA): not found (0 ms) by emulator

(emu) Key not found or invalid: P ****0136 00"

And this is the oscam version I'm using:

    "Version: oscam-1.20_svn-r11546-798"

Thanks again for all your help and sorry for late reply.

  • can you install plugins on the S9

i would accept them Service ID'S as they don't change them often

and if you searched for them keys on google they are the only keys found

    good luck

  • I don't think so, this is a very old receiver and I don't think you can install plugins.

I did a quick google search with no luck.

  • Very nice, Technodvl2 but if I translate 41 decimal to Hex it gives me 29, so how do I come up with "0340" as the line below for this particular channel?

    P 0340 00 191F1B713B6777 ;Antena 3 Internacional

Thanks for helping me out I really appreciate it.

  • them keys are over 6yrs old

    from what i see

    the Service ID has changed

and so has the keys maybe

  • I think you're misunderstanding me, these channels are working fine no problems. What I'm trying to find out is where that 0340 number is coming from so that I can fix the rest of my SoftCam.key file

    Thanks again for your interest.

I have kind of the same question....plus another interesting one.
It's my understanding that the 0304 may pop up from satellite position. How to calculate it, who knows.
UA is sometimes written in that format while I start groups with actual sat position. Ex: P 0101 00 XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

On a brighter note I've had a channel that switched over to a different sat.
I tried to change the key to the new SID (from the old 010100FA to 010100C1) and then to the actual group that I assign for that sat (012700C1).
It didn't clear and after logging EMM and ECM and using PVHE. After days of work at 250 million or so attempts per second, no results. All false positives.
Earlier today I tried the hash method. My first actually.
In 20 minutes the channel cleared.
I looked for the key written at the bottom of my Softcam.key file. No dice.
So. Using the hash method are keys written someplace in the file system when a channel does clear?
Like I can use a UA to make dummy keys for a tp or group of channnels.
I noticed that I didn't have any added by UA's written since mid July. I landed on a channel that used to clear and in a few minutes it cleared and a list of UA's were written. So I at least know that works using the "old method".

    Good question?

  • It's a mystery......

  • is the newly found key visible in the log ? supwiddiss

    Hi Jens!
Not realy sure if I'm looking for a normal pv formatted key, a UA key. Or what.
Nor if there is a log level setting if we're talking about the live log.
Surely willing to put up files if needed. It's just not really covered on streamboard or git. Unless I'm missing something.
Perhaps a sample of what I'm looking for?
    Like, would I have to find the key and make one manually and format it P XXXXXXXX 00 <the key>, P XXXXXXXX 01 <key 2>, or P <group> 00 <UA>??
    Cheers

It's certainly not my intention to hijack this gents thread.

    8/5/21 edit:

I wasn't getting any UA's since the middle of June mostly because I guess I only have been watching a few FTA's.
I went to a few PV channels that normally cleared and waited a few minutes. I got a stream of new added by UA's for those channels and they cleared.
    So!
