    • Official Post

Mikepatron the screenshot of menu method install shows your are trying to install a duplicate ipk (you must have downloaded this file twice).

It should end in all.ipk, not all(1).ipk. This is why you are having problems installing through the menu.

The screenshot of telnet install shows the image is missing the dependency curl. Its attached.

  • Edited once, last by rochy64: Hi, I have a Vu Duo2 with IMG BH 3.10 on board until a few days ago in addition to CCcam I had also installed Oscam 11.517 active and working, now after having done some tests with other Oscam emu I go to reinstall the same ipk of Oscam 11.517 via FTP and the BH panel makes me the installation but there is no trace of the Emu ... what problem do I have ...? will I have to Reflashare IMG ...? thanks for the help. • Hi.

If you use different Softcam IPK-package that are not designed for your Enigma2 distribution (edition), so the installed Softcam may not be displayed correctly in the GUI (the type of SKIN used in Enigma2). So, you must use the IPK package designed for your Enigma2 distribution. Then it is enough to replace only the binary file, in your set-top box:

    1. stop the softcam service (enough via GUI)

    2. you overwrite the old Oscam binary file, with a new one (the new binary must have the same file name as the original one)

    - a note: Oscam binary file, must be designed for your processor (mipsel, arm v7, arm v8 - cortex, aarch64) and must support the system libraries (their correct version) that are installed in your Linux (set-top box)... this is sometimes also a problem, unfortunately, uhm :(

    3. set the file attributes again - for sure (command-line: chmod a+x /directory/file) or use an FTP client and set the bianry file attributes to value: 755

    4. you start the softcam service (it is enough via the GUI)

  • Thanks, I would like to manually install the Oscam 11.517 in question can you tell me where to download the folder with all the files to insert in FTP ... ???

  • Directory path of the binary file ?

The following path is used for most Enigma2 distributions:

    /usr/bin/your_Oscam_binary_filename

However, in the case of BlackHole Enigma2, I am not quite sure. I think BH uses some special ingredient. I'm not sure.

The location of the Oscam binary file can be determined in several ways. For example:

    1. finding the file name on root directory (as recursive):

    find / -iname "*oscam*"

    2. using HTOP tool (you may need to install it: opkg update; opkg install htop):

    htop

...and find in the list the running Oscam process

    3. using TOP tool:

    top -c | grep -i "oscam"

...to cancel, press the CTRL + C keyboard shortcut

  • Hello !

I don't know how to update oscam. I tried

    Code
    curl -LJso- "https://gitlab.com/MOHAMED_OS/dz_store/-/raw/main/Cam_Emulator/online-setup" | bash -s oscam

Then when I go to plugin-> emu manager I do not see it there.

    What did I wrong ?

    I have openpli 9.0 and sf8008.

    Old bin-> /media/usb/camd

    config -> /media/usb/config

    Please advice.

    UPDATE:

I have installed via plugin software managment from /tmp/:

    enigma2-plugin-softcams-powercam-oscam_11812-emu-r802_all.ipk

    and it started and working.

Should I always use for octagon sf8008 this oscam (enigma2-plugin-softcams-powercam-oscam_11812-emu-r802_all.ipk)? from this link?

    2nd question:

I would like to have all configs files on usb

    /etc/tuxbox/config -> /media/usb/config

How can I do it ?

  • H.

If Softcam is not visible in Enigma2-GUI, it does not mean that it is not installed. It can be installed. But you used an older IPK-package or one that does not support a specific Enigma2 distribution. The new OpenATV and OpenPLi have the softcam support built-in... so that it contains the file name, as well as the file extension. According to the type of extension, the Enigma2-GUI then identifies, shows, and enables the Softcam to be managed (via the Enigma2 GUI - in MENU). They should be file names such as:

    /etc/init.d/softcam.osccam

    /etc/init.d/softcam.cccam

    /etc/init.d/softcam.ncam

There is a sym-link also created:

    /etc/init.d/softcam

...and it points to the currently set and used by the user, one single softcam, out of these several.

Softcam can be updated easily if you get its binary file - according to the type of chipset in your set-top box. Then stop Softcam in Enigma2. Then copy the binary file manually via FTP. And finally, start Softcam again. But even this requires minor IT knowledge.

If you want to keep the updates on feed sources, you have to add another feed source. If you use OpenATV, there is an unofficial feed for it, which you have to install in OpenATV (you can also find it here on the discussion forum).

If you use OpenPLi, they already have a built-in feed with softcams. Hardly, it updates every time you let Enigma2 update. Alternatively, you can update the OpenPLi softcam manually, using the opkg manager, via a Telnet/SSH connection.

/////////// EDIT : (according to your post update)

The symbolic link will not work in this case, because if it refers to a removable USB key, then at the moment of booting Linux, when the USB key is not yet mounted in the system, the non-existent sym-link will be deleted. If I'm not mistaken.

Of course, you can have Oscam configuration files anywhere. But at the moment of starting Oscam, during the boot of the set-top box, the USB must already be mounted in Linux... and I don't know for sure if that will happen. I suppose so. So in theory it should work.

The safest thing is to edit the start link in the shell script in the /etc/init.d folder. Find the appropriate shell script and edit it. Find the executable binary oscam file. Add there an argument for entering a specific configuration path.

    -c, --config-dir <dir> | Read configuration files from <dir>

    More info: https://wiki.streamboard.tv/wiki/OSCam/en/ShellCommands

    For example:

    /usr/bin/oscam -c /media/usb/config

Searching of configuration folders after starting Oscam is also built-in. But your choice is not among these folders: Does the location of Oscam's config files depend on the image/hardware being used? -being-use/?postID=618671#post618671

  • Hi.

Why are you asking about the rules of your paid provider right here on the discussion forum ? Ask them at their support. Or look at the information and rules where you purchased the service.

It will definitely say that further sharing is prohibited.

Even these cardshare servers always have very strict rules - for example, too frequent relogin (for example, only 20 times per week at most) or frequently changing IP aggression (several times per day), which of course means that the person in question performs redistribution or uses login on several sets- top boxes. Connecting more than once or decoding more than 1 channel at a time is prohibited.

    EDIT:

I also don't understand why you didn't start a separate topic / question. Why did you put it here, in a thread that concerns a completely different problem?
