Hi you see that there is also the beta version 7.1 here: http: //images.mynonpublic.com/openatv/7.1/index.php? open = gbue4k
With openatv 7.0, are there issues with running plugins with that?
There are a few plugin issues with images using python 3.x Whether you are affected or not depends on what plugins you intend to use. You need to put your needs on the table for people to better advise.
If using ATV, unless you are confident in tinkering, I would say use 6.4. That is the stable version at moment. That being said, you receiver has hardware multiboot, so you can have different images .

Hi,
I am going to be refreshing my box again this weekend. The only plugins that I am going to be using are Oscam Emu and Auto Bouquets Maker. However, I do plan to use my ZGemma running OpenATV 6.4 as a client for this receiver.
I may use Jedi Maker or a similar IPTV plug-in in the future, but no need to use that as of yet.
Is it worth me giving OpenATV 7.1 a go, or will that cause too many issues?
You should be fine. Flash the image in one of the other 3 slots if you are in doubt.

I would suggest openatv 7.0 because 7.1 is still beta!
but if you want you can also flash 7.1 in another slot!

Or are the only benefits that it uses Python 3?
