streaming from enigma2 receiver outside home network

I want to stream from Amiko Viper 4K with eningma2 outside home network.

Installed addon "ghostreamy" and works fine but only in local network because I was not able to set port forwarding.

I have fiber-optic modem connected to router TL-WR841N.

My IP adress is not public: 212.5.217... so all clients connected to my internet provider have this IP address.

In router I have WAN: 192.168.150.85 (Static IP).

Amiko has DHCP address reserved to: 192.168.0.102 while PC is set to 192.168.0.100.

I need port forwardind (port 3139) for Amiko to be accesible outside home network .

How to make it work?

you need to do exactly what your saying, on your router. open port 3139

reboot router

So are you saying that you sharing a single public IP connection from your ISP ?

Your neighbours and you all have the same IP address ?

every user on this ISP has the same public IP address ?

It appears to be a kind of NAT .

There are multiple techniques to deal with it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAT_traversal

If you can manage an external computer/server/VPS on the Internet with public IP

there are some solutions. One could be create a ssh tunnel by connecting

from a computer inside your network to the external computer/server then you can use the external computer as a proxy/gateway to receive the A/V streams and send i them to your player device.

Thank you for that idea. It looks too much complicated to do it. I will read about NAT traversal but I do not give it a chance for success.

Some time ago, I prepared a little guide for this type of link.

Obviously it refers to two Vu+ (Solo2 server and Zero in fallback) but it is easily adaptable to other decoders. :wink:

In the meantime, I have since replaced the Vu+ Zero with an Amiko Viper 4K v20, also the fallback from the Vu+ Solo2, and it works great.

Probably, in the guide, the menus will be different than those of your decoders but certainly completely similar.

Read it carefully a couple of times and then try.

It's in Italian, but Google Translate can help you.

Is this method applicable to get access to OpenWebif from outside the home network?

I don´t have second box just PC but if I could get access to OpenWebif, I could open any channel in VLC.
