My box won’t power on . The power supply is working perfect and have checked it.
Any suggestions?
Any recommendations for a new box similar would be very helpful.
Not sure if this the right section
Thanks

I had an Ultimo then bought a Zero 4K. I know its basic but compare the picture quality with your 4k box and I think you may have a nice surprise.
Ok thanks
I will look into it
Open the box and look for bulged/leaked capacitors. If you're lucky it's an easy fix.
nothing appears on the panel not even a red light?
It could be something as easy as a broken/loose power jack. It's always worth opening the box and having a look (of course if it's out of warranty etc).
Do you know how a bulged capacitor looks? Have a look at this photo
Do you have the white light on the front ?
Ok no light on the box at at all .
I will open the box when I get the chance and have a look .
Would it be an easy fix if the power jack is broken or loose ?
Just a very easy soldering job. It probably requires removing the motherboard from the receiver tho.
I just turned on the box and it working again .
I done nothing on Saturday. It’s very strange I am think it’s might be a loose power jack on the box .
I could probably do the soldering job alright if I need to .
The reason I asked if you just had the white light, is that is all I had on mine.
2.5 - 3 years ago I thought the Ultimo4K was dead as it just wouldn't power on, although after a while it would start to boot and then lock up.
After messing about with it for a while, I realised it was the power switch itself that was the issue from all the on/off and back on with reflashing the box.
In the end I managed to get the switch into a position where it all worked fine, and have since then never touched it again and instead resorted to pulling the power cable out and reinserting it when it does need to be powered off.
Been working fine since then, so don't give up on it.
I did take the box to bits too to see if it was a dry solder joint, but it wasn't.
The box image froze on me when I was editing the channel list so had to power it down by the switch other then that I never plug the box out .
So I most of hit the plug or moved it by accident.
I just turn it off and never move it .
I am just happy it working for the moment without any more issue just don’t want to spend money on a new box .
