Limit number of channels for 1 single line is possible?

  • Hello:

    Technical question:

    Is it possible in Oscam to configure a line to ONLY give ECMs for a single channel, but that channel to be any channel?

    I mean: that line would open any 1 channel. If it received a request from any second channel, it would not respond to it until the first channel was idle.

    I do NOT want to filter by specific SIDs, but by number of channel requests. That's not the idea. I know how to do that.

    The idea is that a line only responds to the ECMs of the first channel that request the line, and ignores any other requests from channels 2, 3, etc., until the moment that channel 1 is turned off.

    Is it possible to configure this in Oscam for that line?

  • Hi.

    If I understand correctly what you want to achieve, then it should be possible to achieve this with the following items:

    (used values = only as example !!!)

    Code
    ratelimitecm                  = 4
    ratelimittime                 = 9000
    ecmunique                     = 1
    srvidholdtime                 = 2000
    cooldown                      = 30,600

    You can find information on individual items on the official website:

    OSCam/en/Config/oscam.server – Streamboard Wiki

    However, this limits the entire card reader - i.e. not a single user, but an entire card reader (in "oscam.server" file) - for all ECM requests together.

    These configuration entries are also difficult to work with they... because each one coding system uses a different algorithm. If you use incorrect values to restrict ECM requests, then it may not work correctly at all.

    I mean, you also need to know your encoding system on your decoder card. If the card requires ECM every 10 seconds, so you can not set there another value :). You have to leave it at the limit of 10 seconds, as required by the internal decoding card algorithm. In this case, for example, you can only change the number of ECM requests in 10 seconds (you will limit this to 1 ECM request, which means that only 1 satellite channel can be watched at a time). However, this applies to the specific decoding system (IRDETO) used by the satellite provider in our country on their decoding cards. In your case, the situation may be different.

    • you can help for 6 reader setup with rate limit with load balance all reader stop and run in a sequience 1 stop 2 run, 2stop 3rd run
  • Hello,

    My Problem is that, i Have purchased a cline and was using it in a normal stb Openbox V8S, now from few months the provider has blocked

    my cline twice and i have to generate new cline, the reason he is saying the my cline is being re--shared, now i don't know, how did he came to the conclusion, may be fast ECM, or Fast zapping of the channels. So i am scared to use any cline in my Openbox stb.

    Now i want to use a new cline in Dreambox800HD, Is there any way that i Can be 100 percent sure that my future cline will not be blocked if i use a script in the cccam.cfg file, or MGcamd file.

    My provider sell Cline also MGcamd Oscam Line.

    Thanks

  • Hi.

    You should have created your own topic / question. Your question does not belong in this discussion thread.

    If your C-Line was banned, it was probably used by someone else and not just you. Or you set up recording on the set-top box, when the C-Line must connect 2 times to the softcam server - one channel that you watch on TV and the other channel from another transponder on a different frequency, which is currently being recorded. Then 2 satellite channels are decoded at the same time and must of course be decoded via 2 connections to the softcam server.

    But it is more likely that someone got to the settings of your set-top box and stole your login and password. Nowadays, all you need to do is open the CCCAM configuration in the set-top box and then just take a photo with your smartphone.

    And then you will get a BAN.

    You can ask your provider exactly what the reason for the BAN was. He must write it down for you exactly. Whether the problem was multiple connections to one account. Whether the problem was decoding multiple channels at the same time, but under one account. Or whether the problem was a sudden and frequent change of IP address (if you have a dynamic Internet IP address, which changes too often with your Internet provider).

    According to what your "softcam provider" writes to you, you will know what to pay more attention to in the future.

  • Thanks s3n0 for detail explanation,

    My stb has a single tuner so the first probablity is zero.

    Now if someone has stolen my account is possible, because i have bought a mini panel to generate my personal cline, and i haven't changed the login user/password also the seller is a third party and he knows my login credentials, I am not buying directly from the main seller which is in Sri Lanka.

    Also I login from my Android phone so there is a good chance of my login credentials been stolen via any app.

    The third reason which is change of ip address is also possible because my IP is not static, if there is a power shutdown or i reboot my router, there is a new IP. But this dynamic ip problem is always there ever since i started using internet from years, and blocking of cline is started recently from 2-3 months.

  • Try what I sent you in a private message... of course only if it includes your satellite provider + in your country (the satellite provider you want to watch via satellite reception).

    As I wrote... your "provider" must respond via support as to why you have this penalty and why your account or C-Line has been cancelled. Based on that, you can look for the cause and take measures to prevent it from happening again.
