Yes, that's right. I couldn't find the whole script.

The softcam startup script was created manually with an ftp.
But I was looking for an ipk file.

OE-Alliance isn`t an image, its a collaboration of different teams who build from the same source then tweak images to their own taste.
With the remote control do Menu > Information > About to find the name of which team built the firmware.
If you need an ipk then use something else ~ RE: Latest OscamEmu For ALL Images Mips Arm Sh4 IPK & DEB - DOWNLOAD ONLY NO CHAT
Maybe I explained myself badly... :)
I was referring to oscam privat as a complete installation file.

There isn`t one, only individual binaries. So you`ll need to manually edit things yourself via FTP.
Which makes me wonder were you trying to install Samur`s file like it was an ipk?
Yes, yes, I had already done this myself some time ago.... Thanks.

Hello, sorry again. can you help me how to install this oscam to my box? im trying to use this tutorial but it seems it doesnt work for me. When i delete the old oscam file and put in the new one in the box there's still loading the old name of the old oscam but i dont see the new one. RE: Private OSCam - Request for compilation, questions and help !!!
You actually installed a new version. The old version will be displayed until you rename the old version of the script to the new version in softcam.Oscam in /etc /init.d or it depends where it is in your image. For example, the new version is 11791, but the script still contains the previous version, eg 11764. You just need to change CAMNAME in script to the new version and restart the box.
CAMNAME="OSCam_11784-r801"

OpenViX doesn`t use a softcam script.
Change the name of the binary to whatever you want, pop it in /usr/softcams and it will show correctly in the softcam manager.
First you have to stop the old Oscam, then copy the new bin file (overwrite the old BIN which you should find in /usr/bin/) and start the oscam again.

Did you make the file executable by giving it permissions 755? If it doesn`t have the correct permission it won`t start.

They have had the script method for a few years

When adding the binary rename it to a version already installed or edit the init.d script name to the new binary name.
Easiest method would be installing oscam-latest from feeds then name the new binary name to oscam-latest.
Send the binary file to usr/softcams. Give it 855 permissions.
Config files can then go in oscam-latest
Goto sofcam script and set
SoftcamScrip select cam script to oscam-latest
Enable/disable cam restart to Restart sofcam

Press green to save and it should restart. Check OSCam Webinterface for the version at the bottom.

yes i did sir. I renamed the new oscam to the same name as the old oscam, replace it and give 755, reboot the box and oscam but it doesnt show any image tho. When i put back the old oscma it instantly open image
When i put back the old oscma it instantly open image
if so, why don't you then use the old one, if it works?
Most important is that the old one works, isn't it?

Because im facing few issues, such as image stop for some reason after few hours and i have to reboot the reciever. It was told that i should update the oscam few post's above.

can i ask you, when i rename the file do i also delete the .extension? "armv7ve libusb aio" so it will be a file with name "OSCam_11718-r798" or it should look like this? "OSCam_11718-r798.armv7ve-libusb-pcsc-aio"
the name of the new oscam must have name from old Oscam ready
