No, biko. Same as yesterday. It doesn’t work.

I added the prefixes to ajpanel_iptv_prefix, restarted enigma, but nothing changed.

To be sure, I placed the file in two locations: in the path /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/AJPan/res/ and in the AJPanel backup directory.

But are the names of the channels in the bouquet changed with you?

I'm interested in the channel names themselves, not the name of the bouquet.

Perhaps Biko could upload a copy of his file if it works for him, and we could modify it to our liking?

It seems to work for the channel names. The prefix disappears.

As for the suffix, I don’t know how it can be handled. I added, for example, "RAW" but nothing happens.

I think the "RAW" in your list is in superscript characters.

I don't know it's possible to add them to the file.

I have funky code in my plugins to convert those superscript characters to ascii with a bit of mapping. But it only works in python 3. (I dont think python 2.7 has maketrans function.)

Which basically passes the name via the clean_names
Check if any character is in superscript_chars - if so change to the superscript_map mapped ascii version.

(category check is only relevant to my plugin.)

glob. is a global variable I save in another file.

Chatgpt gives this version which is compatible with both python versions.

KiddaC’s code for converting superscript characters to ASCII is excellent, but it isn’t necessary in our case.

The ajpanel_iptv_prefix file accepts only prefixes, not suffixes. However, I noticed that a common prefix like VIP| does not work — perhaps this also happens

with other ones.

The issue I addressed though, is depending what skin you are using and what font it is using. Most skins will not have the font to show those superscript characters. So it can get confused with the names unless superscript characters are converted. These superscript characters are very popular in chinese providers like strong8k

i have server which contain word (Discovery+ |) at the beginning of the channel name

now i go to file ajpanel_iptv_prefix which are on path /media/hdd/AJPanel_Backup on my hdd

i add the word

then i back again to browse the server and the word was removed

As I mentioned in my post #1,244, the IPTV channel prefix function works on my box as well (e.g. PLAY|, PRIME|, etc.).

However, there are some prefixes (I’ve only tested one — VIP|) that are not removed. See my post #1,248.

I haven’t tested other prefixes to report them. Possibly there are only very few.

i think any prefixes can removed .... just it must been written exactly as it on server

I think I have the prefix VIP| written correctly in the ajpanel_iptv_prefix file (ajpanel_backup directory).

I added a new prefix (DE), restarted enigma, but that one isn’t removed either. I believe I wrote it correctly.

The prefixes were not removed. I’m sending you the file for testing.

I believe I’m quite familiar with AJPanel to make such a mistake. After all, I’ve been translating it into my language for several years.
