  • Creating translation files is fairly easy.

    Download poedit.
    https://poedit.net/

open a .po or .pot file from the original files (or even use that italian one as a base)
Then you have to save it somewhere first,

    pasted-from-clipboard.png

    pasted-from-clipboard.png

Then make all your edits. And save again.
This will create a .mo and .po file

You places these files in the plugins directory for the country you want in the folder structure shown below.

    i.e. /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/[pluginname]/locale/fr_FR/LC_MESSAGES/ po and mo files go here. i.e AJPan.mo / AJPan.po

Test it on your box to see if your translation text fits the space in the skin files. Sometimes you have to shorten or abbreviate some words to fit.

If you want to share it with the plugin author, zip the files up, as you cant post .mo and .po files here.
So you have to upload the zip file.

  • That's what I'm doing. I took the "Po" from "Italian" and opened it with Notepad, but the number of lines reached 11,471, so imagine how long the translation would take. I'm not proficient with AI translation.

  • A po editor is what you need to use, i.e poedit. Don't use notepad.

But if you want to use AI to give you a starting point. I recommend using https://claude.ai
You can upload larger files to that. Chatgpt will be to limited unless you got a pro account.

So register with claude.ai upload an existing po file then prompt "can you convert this po file to french" - (Its a big file - it will take some time to process it)

Then you can open up that file in poedit, and make any necessary amends from your own language knowledge.

This is a huge plugin to translate manually. 3094 translation entries :face screaming in fear:

  • If someone could translate this file into French for me, I would be very grateful. I saw the work in Italian and I say Bravo. I think it requires the local file, which I don't know how to create or where to place.

Wait 1-2 days. I'll try to translate it into French even though I don't speak that language.

With Poedit you can correct the mistakes that will surely be made.

  • I have a cracked version, which I can share if you need it. It can be translated automatically, but there are errors, and it needs to be checked manually.

  • Si quelqu'un pouvait traduire ce fichier en français, je lui en serais très reconnaissant. J'ai vu le travail en italien et je le trouve excellent. Je crois qu'il faut un fichier local, mais je ne sais ni comment le créer ni où le placer.

Attendez un ou deux jours. J'essaierai de le traduire en français même si je ne parle pas cette langue.

Avec Poedit, vous pouvez corriger les erreurs qui seront inévitablement commises.

    There is no problem .

  • While waiting for the one from " giorbak " I wouldn't say no : that way Ican measure my level .

  • Because the .po files for translating AJPanel are huge and make it difficult for the user to edit them, I translated them myself using AI and a specialized program

that can process multiple languages simultaneously in a single window.

In this way, I avoid having to resend the original text multiple times when using all translations together.

I provide you with translations for most popular languages — German, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, and Slovak.

With the translation ready, it's easy for users to correct the wrong strings using Poedit.

I will not translate additional languages, as I would need to review and correct (where necessary) 3,000+ lines for each language.

However, you can easily perform the translation yourself by opening the original empty AJPan.po file with Poedit and setting the language you want.

If the AI struggles to handle such a large volume of data, you can split the AJPan.po file into parts and translate them separately.

Then, merge them into a single file and use Poedit to generate the compiled AJPan.mo file.

Alternatively, you can open the AJPan.po file in a simple text editor (even Notepad), cut a portion of the text and provide it to the AI to translate the required fields

into your language, specifying that it is a .po file. Paste the translated portion back and continue with the next one.

Save it in the same format as the original, and then use Poedit to generate the AJPan.mo file.

  • Hello,
There is no bulk bouquet download feature. Downloading bouquets one by one is quite cumbersome.

It would be great if you could add a feature to create bouquets in bulk from the "Live TV", "Movies" and "Series" screens.

    Best regards,

  • Hello

Thank you, colleagues, for your interest in localizing AJpanel.

You can continue to add your own or other languages (I may add them in a future update).

The new version added a few new locations plus supplemented old ones.

    Installation:

    1. file to replace > \usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\Extensions\AJPanel

    or

    2. installation ipk file (it's best to uninstall other versions)

    Description - Add multi-language support.

You can add other translation languages eg.: (ar,bg,cs,de,el,en,es,fi,fr,hr,it,lv,pl,pt,ru,sr,sk,tr,uk,zh).

    Add new translations.

    AJPanel-(editing)> AJPan.po

    eg.: polish language

    AJPanel > locale > pl > LC_MESSAGES > [AJPan.po] > editing programs (poedit , notepad++)

ok full localizations (to be checked) (cs,de,el,en,es,fr,it,pl,pt,sk,zh)

You can have 2 versions, e.g.: AJPanel - translated, and name the second one - AJPanel2 - original (e.g.: for comparison)
