For other cases the problem of unable to detect new channels stay. I have no example in my configuration I think.

Because the logic you suggested is a very special case and is not a general solution. Please re-read my example about the groups "Show" and "Channels for the Wife" ... what and how in this case you are going to add to references and where??

You can have same channel names in pluto and samsungtv, each one has a different epg not only a different langage. The difference can be just minutes but can be hours. It's PlutoTV, same thing with SamsungTV which broadcast some pluto tv channels with a total different epg.

I'm using _ALL just for information, to detect new channels in different countries. It's interesting for me to detect music channels for example, or new 4K channels..... I will do with the separate country custom sort files. ;-)

Accordingly, when forming a template, I am guided by the logic that if there are two channels with exactly the same name in one playlist, then this is with a probability of 99.99% the same channel only in different groups ... Such playlists are quite common ... So when I forming a template, with custom sorting, I leave only one in the first category where this channel occurs ... and leave you the right to decide to leave this channel in this category or move it to any other.

Here is an example from pluto tv all m3u, you will find the channel "Avatar" 7 times, the channel name is the same regardless of the country.

The difference is elsewhere, it's the tag channel-id that differ from one to another channel. the tvg-id is a part of the channel-id and so differ too from other entries. Each entry has its own group-title, the name of the country.

So we really have 7 distinct channels with their own identifiers : channel-id and tvg-id and so a potential different epg

Give an example of a 100% uniquely working algorithm with custom sorting with the ability to move the channel to any group

If you do not use "custom" sorting, then any of the examples will be generated by the plugin, taking into account the tvg-id and group membership ... The whole "problem" is whether to give the ability to move any channel to any group or allow movement ONLY within the "native" group ... Personally, I like the ability to move channels in "custom" mode to any place in the playlist (template) of any group and not be limited only to the channel's "native" group

p.s. Oh yes)) the "custom" sorting mode (templates) is used by no more than 5-7% of the plugin users ... these are the most "advanced" users ... The rest use either the original sorting or the "alphabetical" sorting and do not bother compiling templates

p.s.s. And yes .. I can remake the algorithm in such a way that the value of the tvg-id tags will be taken into account (if they exist and they have values) ... and it will be possible to move to any template group ... though it will make the code much more complicated.... No, it's a live channel not a VOD one. This is not the movie Avatar but a channel with Avatar and Korra legend tv shows. Pluto tv m3u I gave you contain only Live streams.
