The Unicable ll LNB has just one down-lead but the Vu+ Duo 4K SE has a dual tuner with two connectors so, if I use a https://www.world-of-satellite…tellite-unicable-splitter, would the Vu+ accept connections from the splitter's two outputs and so be capable of recording 16 channels rather than just(!) eight?

Have you got one tuner card (I. E two f-plugs sockets, 8 tuners) or two tuner cards (I. E four f-plug sockets, 16 tuners)?

I think you can record more then 16 channel but only 8 transponder (CH).

Just for thoroughness, you don't need the splitter for that hardware setup as there is internal linkage.
Benefit of using splitter is both "root" tuners have direct/indepent access to the LNB. ABM, CrossEPG will therefore be able to work without having to alter tune priority. Cheaper to get splitter at outset than later.
