[Plugin] SamsungTVPlus

Panda 555 I have never used epgimporter for pluto rakuten or samsung as they have their own stand alone epg applications within the programme app. When i have configured which bouquets i want and save i then press green to populate and it updates channels and epg. except today samsung hasnt worked doing the epg but all channels work.

I know that Pluto has a standalone app because I had it before and it worked with epg. Now I've only added Pluto TV US to the userbouquet (us_pluto.m3u from iptv.org) and all the channels work so I was wondering if they'll pull the epg. I don't know if it can be done through epgimporter, I tried it and it doesn't add the epg.

The EPG data seems to have been fixed, but many channels that I was able to watch normally are now black screen. Hm... maybe it's something temporary.

Ive just tried green button in my samsung tvplus but still no epg is showing. Wondering should i delete the extension and reinstall from openatv extensions ?

Uninstalled then reinstalled from extensions feed and switched to mode 2 again and all epg back working thanks.

So something changed in the script, old stream link for a channel was : https://jmp2.uk/sam-CHANNELID.m3u8 now its https://jmp2.uk/stvp-CHANNELID (without m3u8 extension)

EDIT : Edited and uploaded the fixed Samsung downloader script, you can replace it in the plugin folder (/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/SamsungTVPlus/), restart gui, update channels and it’s ok 👍

I made a little change in SamsungTVPlusDownload.py I uploaded yesterday. Now if the streams url change again, normally no more update required.

Also made a new ipk and deb.

I tried out the correction on

- my Octagon SF8008 running under OpenATV 7.5.1

- my VuPlus DUO4K running under VTI 15.0.04 (Build: 2025-07-16)

1) For both receivers: I first did try it out with the modified SamsungTVPlusDownload.py from Alex 793.

In /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/SamsungTVPlus/

I deleted /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/SamsungTVPlus/SamsungTVPlusDownload.pyc

and did backup the old SamsungTVPlusDownload.py

I did a restart and did copy

SamsungTVPlusDownload.py from Alex 793 to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/SamsungTVPlus

After a restart the problem was solved for both receivers.

For the moment I have a problem that the EPG is not updated for the VTI 15.0.04.

Yesterday I could still see the EPG updated on my DUO4K but today no more.

2) For both receivers: I did try out the new enigma2-plugin-extensions-samsungtvplus_20250815_all.ipk

I did note the settings in the SamsungTVPlus extension menu.

I did uninstall Samsung TVPlus and did a restart

I did copy the enigma2-plugin-extensions-samsungtvplus_20250815_all.ipk in a folder for ipk on the disk the receiver uses.

I did a manual install of the extension and did a restart.

In the menu of the SamsungTVPlus extensions the settings were still the same.

I did refresh SamsungTVPlus to get the bouquets refreshed.

I did a restart and

- for the SF8008 under OpenATV 7.5.1 all was ok. All channels did work and the EPG was generated for all channels

- for the DUO4K under VTI 15.0.04 The channels did work again but still no EPG generated.

I ask me what could be the problem as on Saturday I could still see EPG generated for not working channels.

Nice that one can install enigma2-plugin-extensions-samsungtvplus_20250815_all.ipk

- on OpenATV 7.5.1 (I have all updates. I did not yet do the last update as in the openatv forum there was

a warning that they did something wrong during the build.)

- on VTI 15.0.04 I did install there the new feed to get new updates

To get no problems. I have a TV from Samsung with SamsungTVPlus.

Nice that I can now also watch the SamsungTVPlus on my receivers.

I once tried with a VPN server in the US the US channels.

Very interesting offer but a lot of advertissements. Much more than in Europe.

So again a great thank to you for alex 793 for your fantastic work.
