Wich firmware have your V8uhd now ?? Mars or stock ??

If you have stock firmware installed, you can upgrade to ecam without any rs232 cable, but only with usb stick.

If you start from mars, as say master G first, you need open the box than rs232 cable or ch341a clip programmer.

Usually stock firmware. When you have the box put a screenshot about menu info of your V8uhd.

For rs232 cable you can see on aliexp.. with search for " rs232 gtmedia v8uhd".

This cable has been tested from me and it work on V8uhd and on V7pro.

This is a clip usb programmer ch341a, but change firmware with it is a little more difficult than rs232. For a guide you can see y@utub videos about programming an eeprom with it.

To restore to the original firmware, it cannot be directly upgraded and needs to be flashed through the serial port line. This requires a slightly more professional operation. The official forum provides methods.

The problem is why GTMedia team can not provide an easier way using usb to roll back from mars firmware?

Why is it so easy to move from original to Mars and so hard to roll back?

I am confused, are we covering the topic V8UHD? I have the latest Mars software from May 11 2024 version V1.11.11242. Everything works fine. Where did this Firmware Mars_V3.3.3 come from, this is not for this box.
