  • Before install last versione of wiregard plugin i have a question for those who have OpenATV 7.6 version:

Does "Terminal" (black windows where is possible insert a command line intructions) normaly work in openwebif interface ? the link in openwebif menù work correctly ?

    Tk

    UP!!

    Thanks

  • you do not even need terminal the wireguard vpn plug is in plugins.

So green button , green button. extension packages and you will find it in there to

    install.

And terminal does work in openwebif but i have not tried installing wireguard through it, and if Iwas using terminal i use putty.

  • ok thanks, I don't want install plugin through webif Terminal, I only ask if webif Terminal interface work normaly after wireguard installation.

  • ok i understand but some times people need to try for themself only way to learn.

it only tkes a few minutes to make a full backup then they can restore.

Lets face it how could I give you definitive answer I would need to uninstall wireguard vpn plugin.

Reboot gui or even device then go to openwebif to install it via openwebif terminal.

And I have done such things before if there has been problems to check things out .

but in most cases members have tried first then said there were problems.:)

  • I confirm and certify that there are (in my opinion, significant) plugin compatibility issues with OpenATV (7.5 and 7.6).

    My situation is as follows:

    VU+ Ultimo 4K decoder, OpenATV 7.6 image.

In the web interface (openwebif), the "Terminal" utility (the black window where you can enter commands manually) no longer works.

If you click on "Terminal," the system responds with the error

    "Could not connect."

This happened after installing Wireguard and rebooting. The problem is always present whether Wireguard is running (with NordVPN private key added) or disabled.

Fortunately, I had a system backup and was able to restore it.

Unfortunately, for me, this is a serious problem, also because it interferes with the OpenATV system, preventing the Terminal service from starting correctly.

Unfortunately, I have no logs to show because I immediately restored the backup.

If the developer is willing to fix it, I believe the problem is easily reproducible.

  • Yeah I have the exact same issue too using OpenATV 7.6.

However, I've had wireguard installed for a very long time now and it didnt used to happen.

So is this actually a Wiregurad issue or just an ATV one after an update ?

    I do not know.

  • For me is a wireguard issue (important issue for me), Below you can find more information about the problem that has already been encountered by several users for some time:

    the developer should investigate

  • Maybe it's only a problem with VU+ decoders or for who use NordVPN....... I don't know, but the problem exists and has been encountered by other users.

One question: was IPV6 disabled by default, or did you change it?

  • I changed it.

  • Can you try to disable IPV6 and retray? I don't think this is the solutions bat it costs nothing.

I can't try because i have restored the backup image....

    Tanks

  • madhouse, please could you suggest a possible solution?:

Yes you can use personal files. In the plugin press green button for settings:

    Use personal files Yes

Select the file directory I use /media/hdd/WgConfig

This is easier if using multiple images they will always be available.

    Other options are:

    /media/usb/WgConfig

    /etc/WgConfig

Press green to save then send your config files to the location you have just saved. I can't remember if you need to create the WgConfig folder.
