The remote control for my zgemma h7s no longer works. I think I hit a key sequence that changed something in how the remote works. The "ok" button and the "up arrow" button no longer work. The number keys 2, 5, 8, 0 no longer work. Maybe the remote control is broken? or has some code changed and needs to be reset? If so, is it possible to reset? how?
How to reset remote control zgemma h7s

you could try,
Connect to openwebif and use the virtual remote control from there to control your box and reset the default RC
-
I connected to openwebif and I can control my box, but how do I reset the original remote control?

you will need to go through menus untill you find remote control perhaps in gui setting yoy did not even mention what image you are using

hi, I also have the same problem, I opened it and re-soldered the pins of the cip... but it worked for about 20 minutes and then the same defect occurred again. I have a device that signals me when a remote control sends an impulse and I noticed how if 2 buttons were pressed at the same time and to make it work I have to disconnect the batteries for 2 minutes and then it works correctly by putting the batteries back in for 5 minutes then it stops again... it's an H9combo and with OpenPli 8.3... today I check from the web and do know.

After many attempts trying a bit of everything, in frustration, I threw the remote control on the carpet, and the batteries flew out. I put the batteries back in and the remote worked fine for a few seconds. Then the defect returned. I'm starting to think it's a hardware defect in the remote control. Maybe the solution to the problem is to buy another brand new remote control

Done and reset to default now works fine...Thanks.

Ok
with this device I could hear the remote control continuously sending inputs to the decoder but as if they were multiple buttons...now it seems to be perfect...it no longer sends inputs.

Thanks for your help Piterfree. I tried both solutions you suggested, but it doesn't work. There's probably a hardware problem inside the remote control, and maybe throwing it on the carpet didn't do it any good
I ordered a new remote control on a website. -
Sorry to revive an old thread, but just bought a new H7S with a quirky remote. Sometimes works when pointed at a certain angle towards the device, sometimes not.
Its the same remote as my H11S uses. I switched between them and no issues with the H11S, only the H7S. So its not the remote itself, its something to do with the H7S box. Not sure if its the IR receiver being weak or what. It happens even when remote is up close to the device.

hi, you have to go via web put the Lan ID of the H7 and there is a part of the menu that you can do the reset of the remote control and the way to be able to use it for dreambox or for other boxes.
-
I can try that later on, but for now seems problem solved. I used an IR extender and taped the emitter just above the IR spot on the box. Couple hours now and seems working well.
