Can't install anything from a USB stick. Tried different usb sticks and different software files. The result is always the same.
    Process description:
    1. The receiver is turned off
    2. USB flash drive into the USB slot of the receiver
    3. I press the <OK> button on the front panel.
    4. I hold down the button and turn on the receiver
    5. I wait until <Fork> appears on the screen
    6. I deprecate the <OK> button and press the <Right> button
    7. The text <Fact> appears on the screen
    8. I press the <OK> button again
    9. The text <Fact> is still on the screen
    10. After about 15 seconds, the message <7 70> will appear on the screen
Telnet shows such data. (The Tera Term telnet program has been used)

  • use kingston or sandisk usb 4 or 8 GB

Make sure that the folder is not inside another folder, and there is no any Foldr it except Foldr plugin only

After unzip the attached file, transfer the file to the usb and place it in the device. & so on as you Learn to install

    °Never change a running system°

  • No it is not.
There is only one directory <enigma> on the usb stick, which contains two files <e2jffs2.img> and <uImage>.
I have previously installed new software on the same receiver and everything has worked.

  • check all usb drives that u have one more time, again format in fat32. I remember with 2 or 3 usb flash drives it didnt'work, one or two only was ok

    and folder name should be

    enigma2

    not

    enigma

  • It's all been done many times. No results.
I'm not a complete newbie to this receiver, I've changed the receiver software several times and everything has worked. Now the receiver sat for about 2 months and I turned off the working receiver. I am also currently using OpenPLI 8.1 on this receiver and it works fine. Now I tried to install OpenATV 6.2 and then I got errors, I tried a different USB stick, a full formatting done beforehand and tried installing different software. It won't work anymore. That's why I ask the wisest people who know the content of the software for advice on what's wrong. Could there be a faulty Uboot file or are there other versions..?

Its been very many years since i had an STI type device...... so i am assuming you are attempting to flash with the correct files and the correct procedure, from your other posts it looks as through you have done it several times before.

    Your log has this:

    Code
USB: scanning bus for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found scanning bus for storage devices... 0 Storage Device(s) found

    ** Can't read from device 0 **

** Unable to use usb 0:1 for fatload **

Its not happy with your usb stick, try low level format the usb stick first

  • You opened a topic in the section on the 7162 processor, and you own a 7111 processor device, Although there is a special section for that in the forum. Are you sure that the software you are trying to install suitable to your processor?

You did not explain the problem in a way that helps solve it

Are you working on the Spark system on your device and trying to install the Enigma 2 version on the internal flash drive in the part designated for the Enigma 2 system on your device?

First, refer to my topic in the forum to find out the correct way to do this

If the problem still exists, try first reinstalling the software for the Spark system via usb Through the Spark system

You can do this through my topic in the forum at the following link.

If the problem still exists, this means that the Spark system has lost usb drives

The solution is to use the rescue_image in the method described in my topic at the following link

    rescue_image

    method

After the process is successful, install firmware
