I can provide photos of this as I have been using this box since Christmas. The question was about the tuner and I informed people that the signals levels are reading low. This is an issue that will need resolving in time.

So here are some photos of signal levels, same dish, same image, same length of cable, same splitter same channel. One is gibablue quad pro 4k the other is a qviart dual. Satellites 0.8w, 13e, 19.2e

Yes but the level on the giga is in my estimation about 10% lower. The dual and also my solo 4k were both with 1% of each other. I know i have signal but when you play with your boxes each day this is something that will get noticed.
Why compare it with qverat dual
Each device has its own tuner and motherboard, so no comparison is possible at all

Yes but the qviart compares with the solo 4k which is also a broadcom chip although older. People have the right to know what I have found. Once these model are more common others will be able to confirm it. I like the box and I am glad I bought it and I look forward the testing more images when they are available?
If you want to know the quality of the signal on this device, go to the guest packages on the various satellites and test them. Is the signal present or not or is it interrupted? Thus, you will know the strength of the device. Good luck, my friend.

No mate I have not bought one yet, I got a refund on the value and have not yet seen them for sale. One thing that is confusing me is what will the plug in tuner hold over the 2 x tuners already installed as they are already dvb-s2x. See picture below. If its the same tuner (probably not) I cannot find a option to do a blind scan. I have seen that option on my other receiver within the openatv image but on the gigablue I have not yet found that option. I am open to others informing me correctly though. ++update just seen that the tuner that is optional is dvd-s2x v2 dual.

I've still not see them for sale yet, I cannot see them on sk.de other than as part of a receiver purchase. I might wait until wos gets them in as buying from de as paying extra charges to the post office is off putting. I was about to one of those new dreambox play's off sk's but i found them on amazon de for the exact same price but they charged very little for carriage and the tax was in euro's. Nice and easy.

Rather for those who have already received it I would have a couple of questions also since if I did not see badly from the photos that have published mount the same tuner my DM 920 or the BCM 45308 X . with dreambox if you used the images based on Open Alliance you could not use the two independent turner from each other had to use the images based on the original dreambox I hope that after many years at least this thing on this decoder has been solved with all the images . What is the high quality for channels broadcast in DVB-S2/ T2-MI mode If you can tune directly (there is an option on the octagon style tuning menu) or do you need the famous folder ASTRA SM in the firmware? teto.7 I am unsure if I can answer your question correctly but at this moment i do not think anyone has the additional tuners yet for the satellite side. On the 2 x dvb s2x tuner I have motorised going into input 1 and a fixed feed for 28.2e on input 2. Selecting any channel on any satellite other than 28.2 moves the dish as expected and choosing 28.2 uses the fixed dish. Now here is the odd one, if i randomly choose a icam channel on 28.2 I can sometimes here the dish moving towards 28.2e. I cannot explain this other than maybe i have the current channel on an icam channel and its streaming internally and when selecting a 2nd channel its looking for another tuner to stream icam again. Images i use are openatv, teamblue and openspa. I cannot remember which image the above happens on more.

Couple of questions you may or not know answers for
1) The issue with low signal readings -is this something that can be fixed with driver update?
2) Blind scan -something Ive rarely used over the years. The current tuners on the box dont support it & will need another add on
Again at some point could the manufacturer install built in tuners capable of blind scan ?
Or seperate add on always be the case?
