check your settings file all files need convert to utf-8

make a backup from folder /etc/enigma2 , zip all files and send me the zip file

if you had such problem with many images... think that perhaps you do something wrong in your side... it's as we call a human fault (yours) and not the image, captain told you that the format of the file is wrong, so perhaps you did something modifying it that corrupted the file.
