Hey guys, I've been trying to get a hold of a DVB-T2 OpenATV box for a while now, and curious about the Dreambox DM900 RC20 4K UHD. I see the DM900 was released a few years or more ago, but what about the DM900 RC20? I'm hoping it was more recent. Also, curious whether the DVB-T2 variant has dual DVB-T2 receivers or just a single with DVB-C making up the "dual" in its description? If it's recent, it should have all the latest codecs, such as the latest YouTube stuff. I found some of the more recent boxes struggle with transferred YouTube content. Also, in OpenATV, is the DM900 download the same as the DM900 RC20 FW. Thanks

hi, from the photos I just saw I see that it is equipped with 2 sat and not as you claim, I just made a 920 with a 3 tuner and 2 sat to a friend with OpenPLi 8.xStar much better than Atv which I tested the latest 7.5, the plugins all work just know how to find the compatible ones on the site for the software you want to use, the skin is often the problem of the anomalous crashes that often occur.

and tuners can always be purchased separately
I did this to my friend, except that his also has 2 satellite tuners.

I don't need the DVB-S2X, I'm in Australia, only the DVB-T2, so the Dual DVB-T2 is good if it is dual, plus it's cheaper. Do you know if it will support YouTube AV1 codec? Thanks

Don't worry about plugins/Youtube etc, all this is fixed on-going.
About the RC20, D900UHD, it was an update of the DM900UHD they released in 2020, but in fact it's same software related.
The only important thing for you down under, is to find the right one with the Tuner you need, but you can also replace it if you find the DM900UHD and the Tuner separately.
The DM920UHD is good as well, as it's an improved DM900UHD, with 2 Tuner slots, and 1 smartcard slot, it has 2 CAM (CI).
Price between DM900UHD and DM920UHD is not too different, and just the fact to have 2 Tuner slots is something that renders the DM920UHD very versatile... it's also true that with Enigma2, you can use external USB Tuners if the driver is supported...
I like both boxes, but the DM920UHD because of the two Tuner slots, would for me gain more my attention in your case (you can use one for a Dual DVB-T2, and one for the DVB-S2X... cheaper tuners.

Yeah, the DM920 would be ideal, but not available anywhere I can find, same with compatible DVB-T2 receivers. The only one I can find is theDM900 RC20. Do they still make the DVB-T2 receivers for this box? Also, is the dual DVB-T2/C receiver dual per receiver type? In other words, are there dual DVB-T2 and C receivers on the card or just singles? You have available the Tuners, these can be the ones of older DMM boxes (Hybrid) and the newer based on ST chipsets, so don't worry, you will always find the DVB-T2 tuners to insert on your DM900UHD or DM920UHD box... and there is also the DVB-C/T2 ones, that you can use.
